Table of five with my sister from out of town. The service from all of the staff is always excellent. Our server Mallory was very attentive. JJ and Sean behind the bar are always professional mixologist. Heather makes it all gel. Very enjoyable evening as usual here !! spring time is here soon and the outdoor patios will be open

This was my second time at Carte Blanche, and was not as nice as my first visit. We had a reservation, but our table was not ready - not a big deal, but odd to me, since there were several empty tables visible as we waited. Once we were ready to order, we were told that the complimentary popovers were no longer available. Again, not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to be offered bread, a different appetizer, drink, or reduction on our bill. I had heard this being offered at the bar to another patron as we were waiting for a table, but no similar offer was given to us. We ordered two cocktails. One was fine, the other was very sour - not as advertised on the menu - almost seemed like they had left out the orgeat. We ordered two entrees (after being told that the scallop special had also run out - another disappointment). One entree was fine, but I thought the Chicken Parmesan was pretty ho-hum for a restaurant of that level. Sauce had no flavor - no spices, etc. The chicken seemed overcooked and dry - not what I was expecting. How hard would it be to add a few leaves of fresh basil to at least make it appear appealing? We were seated upstairs, where the ambience is completely different than the first floor. Not what I was expecting, and honestly not worth nearly $100 after tax and tip. Will think twice before returning, and will definitely not make a later reservation.

We love Carte Blanche - Our server did the best he could considering it appeared he was the only one and it was busy. The host and bartender helped deliver food and drinks. They all seemed to work together well as a team. We had the scallop Cajun appetizer that was delicious. My husband had bolognase the flavor was on point but the pasta was overcooked. I ordered the butternut squash pasta. The pasta was cooked perfect but the dish itself had no flavor. I won't order it again which is why I gave this 4 stars. Overall we really enjoy Carte Blanche and will be back.

Well my son gave us gift card for Christmas and said he heard good things about this place. He heard correct. I suggest reservations as this place was packed on a Saturday. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving and loved the second floor dining with great view of outside. (If you are not able to walk up stairs I would suggest a downstair seating). Every employee we were in contact was very courteous and engaging. Food and drink options are plenty and very hard to make a decision. But our waitress was very patient and answered our questions. Food was outstanding. Popovers are awesome and they give you 2 butter options - these are on the house. Both our dishes were excellent Carbonara and Chicken marsala was made to perfection. We had the upside-down pineapple cake - very good. Will come back in the summer as it looks like there is some outside seating. FYI - Parking is limited and we parked down the street on a very cold February night. I think the only downfall of the evening.

I had been the Carte Blanche a few times before, and was expecting a better experience. CONS: Not the restaurant's fault that they had run out of the one entrée that my boyfriend really wanted to order (lobster tail), but I used to work in the service industry and think that that should have been relayed to us at the time the specials were being discussed. Our drink order ticket also "got lost," and we waited 45+ minutes for our cocktails (which the restaurant did graciously comp. for the inconvenience, without us asking). We also felt a little rushed out at at the end of the night. PROS: Our waiter was nice, and clearly very busy when we first sat. I am more than understanding of this. The entrees that we were able to order (the short ribs and the Chilean sea bass) were both cooked well and well-flavored. All in all, the negatives weren't experience-ruining, just not sure I would be rushing to go back at this point in time.

My husband and I went here for valentines day. We were seated at the upstairs bar and had great drinks and service throughout our visit. I had the cacio e pepe with chicken and my husband had chicken parm- both were great! We always love our visits here and will definitely be back. Side note- please bring back the filet! ?

My husband and I came here on a Saturday night and it was very busy. He had the braised short ribs and I the NY strip. Both were very good. The only complaint was the broccolini on my plate must have been cooked in salt water because the plate was watery and very salty which made my steak salty. The wait staff was all very professional and checked on us throughout the evening.

Cocktails were amazing! Service was outstanding! Food was very good, however the desserts are fair and in my opinion not worth the calories. Good value for your money. I would dine here again, and skip the dessert

Service was great. Loved the wine. Chicken Milanese and butternut squash pasta were good, but skip the cacio e pepe it's reminiscent of Lipton cup of noodle. There were 3 of us eating and still drinking, they did ask us to leave our table as they had another reservation after just under 2 hours, but they comped us a drink at the bar so seemed fair enough.

Went to dinner with my wife on a Saturday night, the place was busy with a nice vibe. The soup of the day was excellent, good thing they didn't list the calories for it though. My wife's pasta dish was very good. I ordered the Jambalaya dish and did not care for it and I love jambalaya. Way too saucy with little main ingredients . So saucy that I'm not sure if there was any rice in the dish. I'll try the place again just will not do the Jambalaya !

As one of the older generation, I would appreciate enough light by which to read the menu. Trying to share the light of a cell phone across a table does not make a good experience, A small table lamp can give a reading light and provide good ambience at the same time. I looked around at other tables using i-phones also. I don't want to carry my phone around so that I can see what I eat.

We had a wonderful dinner there, the staff was very attentive to our visit. The food was amazing, had pop overs for the table, and the meat and cheeseboard for starters. For our main course Scallop risotto, and Chicken Parmesan. Our cocktails were amazing. I had a traditional old-fashioned and the wife had a lemon drop martini which she said was excellent. I thought for the evening that we had the prices were fair and the atmosphere was relaxing.

We had great service with Kevin. Unfortunately the food is middle of the road for the price. My wife had Cacio d Pepe which is Italian for flavorless pasta. There are so few food options in Hamburg it's to bad they can't get it right. The noise level at Carte Blanche is annoying as you're seated on top of each other. Not the worst but not great.
