We are writing this review a bit late after taking time to process our disappointing experience with Coyote Cafe catering for our wedding last October. We hope this can help other couples who are considering their services.
The most critical issue was that we ran out of food at our wedding. Our contracted guest count was 164, and the actual number of attendees was only 151 (including vendors). Despite having an event coordinator monitoring the buffet line to ensure portion sizes were reasonable, the food ran out after feeding only about 80 people. This forced us to spend a significant, unbudgeted amount of money on a last-minute backup plan to feed our remaining 70 guests.
In addition to the food shortage, we had a major issue with a dietary restriction. We had multiple prior conversations with Jeff about the beans being the main source of protein for our vegan guests. However, on the wedding day, he went in without gloves and sprinkled cheese all over the beans, making them unusable for our guests.
Throughout the process, Jeff was uncooperative and extremely rude to us, my mother, and our event coordinator. Examples include him unprofessionally asking the bride if she had ADHD during a pre-wedding confirmation call, being late with the food drop-off, and then being completely unresponsive to phone calls the morning of our wedding day.
Ultimately, while our day was still special, the unnecessary stress, disruption, and financial costs added by Coyote Cafe were a huge disappointment. We feel it's important to share this experience so others can make an informed decision.

Went for customer appreciation day. Paid $25. This was a joke! Sure all you can drink from 6-9 but as far as stacked buffet spread....that was a joke!! Small tacos and only a few at a time and I don't know what else there was because that is all we got because nothing else came out and when it did other people stood and ate the one plate of it. So as far as a spread of the favorites, what a false advertisement that is! We left and went to Masons Grille to eat. Won't do this again!

On July 25th they came to out work party and I asked for a quasadilla bc all they had was nachos and burritos and I don't really like either. So I asked for a quasadilla and he made it! And it was AMAZING & SO DELICIOUS! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! 🥰💜‼️

Jeff and Coyote Cafe were absolutely amazing hosts for our 25 Year Reunion! It’s a great location, walking distance from everywhere in the village. We all loved the buffet and the open bar, and they even helped us find a DJ. Thanks for helping us have an amazing time!

The food and service were excellent. Don't come here if you're expecting really authentic Mexican food. This is Americanized Mexican that comes with a lot of cheese. Not a bad thing at all and it hits the spot. Portion sizes are huge (I rarely have to take a box home) and there's a decent drink menu. Staff is helpful and polite. Definitely coming back.
