Good pit stop. Large venue. Lots of space inside. Food looked good. Beers are good, widely available locally.
No waitresses no thanks
Mixed feelings. On one hand, excellent beer (enjoyed their Frosty IPA). On the other hand, the food is so-so. My wife did not like arancini at all. I gave a try to their dry rub chicken wings with lemon and pepper - far worse than ones at Lewiston.
Locals seem to realize that the food is mediocre and prefer to order just beer and sometimes beer and pizza.
4/5 - because this is a brewery and as such review should be reflective of that. However, no plans to drive extra 30-35min just for the beer alone. I would rather pay a bit more for the food and the service elsewhere.
upscale national parks hall vibe in the original building and winding waterfront path patio, modern open floor plan addition has become the main bar. older crowd enjoys quite good food and drink in a relaxed upscale environment here. well staffed with parking sizeable enough for the original business model but out grown with the recent addition. pro: upscale without being duchy con: beer selection is surprisingly small for such a large brewery, not enough bathroom access
Please understand that you’re patronizing an establishment that endorses homophobia and who believes denigrating people who have different beliefs and are exercising their right to free speech is fair game. I can’t only hope that staff and patrons are not treated similarly.
Food was good and quick to get to the table - food and drinks got ordered at the bar - no servers for the tables. Food was delivered to your table from the kitchen - and you had to go to the bar every time you wanted a drink refill.
Not an issue - or a bad thing - just how it was (at least on a Thursday afternoon around 2pm).
I had the calamari special - I liked the light breading (both the flavor and the texture) and I really liked the sweet/spicy dipping sauce much more than the marinara. If im going to get critical, the cook on the calamari was maybe a tad over - they were just starting to get rubbery: still good, just not perfect.
Cool atmosphere. Food was just ok. Beef stroganoff was extremely underwhelming. No salt, pepper or condiments anywhere to be found without going up to the front order counter which is a vastly when you are sitting in the back room and have kids with you. Appetizer came out with our meals, defeating the purpose of the appetizer.
Sometimes I’d give this place a 5 star rating and sometimes I’d give it a 2. I guess it all depends on the chef?
Had a nice time at Hamburg Brewing Company! Tried the October fest and the Frosty IPA – both were solid, but I especially enjoyed the Frosty. It had a smooth, balanced taste with just the right amount of hoppy flavor. The October fest was also enjoyable, capturing the fall vibes perfectly. Overall, good beer, good atmosphere, and a spot worth checking out!
A great place to have your rehearsal dinner. We live out of town and they were very easy to schedule with. Great bang for your buck and a great space. It made for a super cute rehearsal dinner (especially in the fall)!
