A great view and good service but some of the worst fish and chips I’ve ever eaten. Tasteless and soggy breading on the bottom. Salads are also nothing special. The seasoning on the shrimp needs improving.

We had the pleasure of having lunch yesterday at Hoak's. They do an excellent job of broiling seafood, but the New England chowder looked like glue, tasted like glue, and had the consistency of glue. I sent it back and told the waitress it was awful.

Sit on the patio! The view of the Lake is beautiful! Ever so often get a wiff of dead fish! But other than that it's great! Drinks are very weak! Almost no liquor! So I advise a rocks glass! Food is absolutely HORRIBLE! These folks don't know BUFFALO SAUCE!! it's Franks and butter!!!! Holy Moly they sent out something that was a BBQ sauce???? Idk ....Always short staffed I guess! So if your looking for a JOB maybe you can teach them a thing or 2!

We must have caught this place on a bad night or it was busy due to the fact it was one of the few places open on a Sunday night. We were told 35 minute wait for inside and longer for the outside, no big deal that seems to be the norm. When we finally get seated there are 4 tables outside and half the inside open for seating. Our food came out 45 minutes after we were seated and ordered. The food was underwhelming to say it kindly. I took a few bites and just ate my fries. Our dinners were luke warm as if they’d been sitting to be brought to the table. If you want just a drink and a good view of the lake it’s a great place otherwise, make this a hard pass. Go a little farther away and do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

?????I have driven by Hoak's so many times but I have never stopped. I even thought that it would be expensive but it was very reasonable. The food was amazing. The view is gorgeous. Right on the lake. I have moved so I am about an hour and a half away from Hoak's. Anytime that I am in the Buffalo area. I am definitely going to eat at Hoak's. Really this place is perfect for anytime you want to eat. Rather it be a big meal or a snack. You really need to stop here and eat. ?????
