Menu says baked potato with broiled fish. Waitress said NO, they are are out of baked potatoes tonight. Nice big piece of fish but drenched in butter and could barely detect a hint of cajun. Lemon pepper broiled fish same story. New England chowder not bad. Service alright. Great view over lake.
We had the pleasure of having lunch yesterday at Hoak's. They do an excellent job of broiling seafood, but the New England chowder looked like glue, tasted like glue, and had the consistency of glue. I sent it back and told the waitress it was awful.
We must have caught this place on a bad night or it was busy due to the fact it was one of the few places open on a Sunday night. We were told 35 minute wait for inside and longer for the outside, no big deal that seems to be the norm. When we finally get seated there are 4 tables outside and half the inside open for seating. Our food came out 45 minutes after we were seated and ordered. The food was underwhelming to say it kindly. I took a few bites and just ate my fries. Our...
