Dreary atmosphere with tired, scuffed wood tables and chairs. Food for breakfast was okay.

Absolute trash. Nothing to eat. Staff are friendly and care. Colgate needs to quit using chart wells. The food is ghastly and has sent students to the ER.

If you find yourself in Hamilton, New York, you have to stop at Frank Dining Hall for a meal. It really is an experience. A typical day of Frank food consists of mushy veggies, lots of chicken, rice of some sort, and some strange cold pasta salad. If you're looking for a nice date spot, this is the place. The atmosphere is warm and inclusive. There are lots of benches making the space feel super cozy. If you're lucky, on occasion, Frank puts on special dinners. Some highlights include Root Fest (all vegan dinner), Franksgiving, and Sunday brunch. I highly recommend trying the vegetable spring rolls. The burgers are always a solid option, Mac n cheese always slaps. Personally, my favorite stations are the yogurt and fruit bar, the coffee station (sometimes hit or miss), and obviously the ice cream station (personal fav is the soft-serve). This wouldn't be an in-depth review if I didn't highlight some of the pitfalls. Lines tend to be long during lunch and dinner hours. If you're looking for a quick in and out on the type lunch, you probably don't wanna go to Frank. There are limited to-go options besides breakfast items. However, this isn't to say that I don't spend hours in frank with my friends, typically eating about three dinners each. Seriously don't knock it until you try it, make a trip down to Frank dining hall and enjoy a lovely dinner, lunch, or quick breakfast with a friend. You will never go hungry at Frank, whether you enjoy your food ehhhh, and always remember if you are ever constipated, Frank can help with that. When asked "What is your favorite thing about Frank?" Students anonymously respond: "I love the people watching and social environment that it creates" -Anonymous student 1. "The French fries" -Anonymous student 2. Only thing missing is late night Frank.

Great Food, I used to work there and I have to say, the service is great, great workers that are relatable and a great atmosphere with nice areas to sit and enjoy your food. The place has multiple areas where it's quiet so students can do their work. The food layout in the Buffett itself is nearly immaculate with the only exception being the events which can be slightly clunky, but other than that it's fine. The only thing that kept me from working and staying there is that I myself, left for college this year. Sure the selection of food isn't all "fan favorites", but with a grill that lets people get burgers, omelettes, fries, grilled cheese, among other things and a pizza station that always offers something for everyone, a build your own pasta section, a deli, and a vegan area that includes a gluten-free section which is a nice touch. It includes a coffee station, fruit area, ice cream area, it's hard to say what there isn't to like at this facility. I would highly recommend it if you are thinking about dinning here because it functions as a restaurant as well.-Chas Frink
