Food was good but a little expensive for the portions. Mango lassi can be hit or miss.

Ended up here because everything else in Hamilton was closed between Christmas and New Year. We were so glad it was open, and the food was delicious! There were 4 of us, each ordered something different, and everyone devoured their meal. Highly recommend!

Delicious vindaloo ordered to our level of spiciness (lamb for hubby and chicken for me) served with rice. Also an order of garlic naan. All very good and served hot. They were doing a big take out business the night we were there. We had a very accommodating server. Would definitely recommend. Royal India is a welcome addition to the Hamilton dining scene.

There's nothing but good things to say about these guys. Their curry is nice and spicy. They have a great range of appetizers. Noah, Yish, and the rest of the guys on staff make it memorable in the best ways. Oh, and try the mango-banana smoothie: you will not regret it.

My boyfriend and I got the lamb birayni and sag paneer, with garlic naan a nice appetizer, and a mango lassi. All delicious and spectacular service!! Will be coming back :)

My husband and I wanted to try a new Indian restaurant so we make the trek to Hamilton. It was totally worth it!! The restaurant was clean and elegant. The service was awesome. We had appetizers, bread, and 2 completely different entrees so we could get a good representation. The quality of everything was terrific. We ended up with leftovers and I can say it was just as good even 3 days later!

Mango lassi drink was way too sweet for how it should be. Avoid unless you want diabetes.

Food was better than expected, but our whole night was ruined by the payment experience. They have this enormous QR code taking up most of the receipt to encourage you to use Apple Pay, which we did. They then chased us after us into the street saying we hadn't paid. It was very uncomfortable and embarrassing. My partner showed that he had paid on his phone, but they still seemed doubtful. If they don't want to accept that payment method they shouldn't display it prominently. Very uncomfortable experience, it left us upset for the rest of the evening and I woke up in the middle of the night to leave this review. Not sure if we'll return, even for the tasty food.

Food: 4/10. Dry, grainy chicken. Tikka masala came with no rice and they never brought it out after asking. Service: 0/10. Waited 1.5 hours and waiter never checked in on us. Had to beg to get our food. Asked for water 5 times and never received any.Atmosphere: 5/10. Classic vibe. It was a funny dinner because of how bad the service was. Would call the waiter over and he would just ignore us.P.S. my friend had so much diarrhea right after eating the food.
