I cannot express enough how fantastic this place is! A large group of us spent an afternoon at Barrel House 6, and Kara (the owner) not only warmly welcomed us, but took the time to make suggestions on what to order as first-time whiskey tasters/drinkers and according to our individual preferences. LOVE this place and will absolutely be back when visiting NY again. Tell your friends and family!!
Second time we visited the Barrelhouse and again not disappointed. Very friendly atmosphere, love sitting on the porch and watching the scenery. Next time we come through will stop again.
My wife,daughter and son-in-law arrived at Barrel House as Kara was putting out the "open" flag. We were greeted by our bartender and she explained some of the various spirits. We met Joe and Kara, the owners. Very nice and sociable people. They gave us a history of their journey to establish Barrel House. A great facility with fantastic spirits (Kara is also the Head Distiller). This was our first visit and it definitely has been added to the top of our list for return...
