The view is spectacular. The staff was not friendly at all. Many other wineries in the area wher the staff is exceptional. I would by pass this one

Such a shame for a beautiful location. Have visited Heron Hill many times in the past. We've been to almost every winery in the finger lakes over the years. Not sure what the issue was this day with the two employees working the tasting area and didn't ask them. Seems other visitors have recently had similar experiences at Heron Hill. We asked person working register area for a refund on the tastings we never received.

Usually is my favorite on Keuka lake. Prepaid for a tasting and sat at the bar. We were with several couples but were not really with them. Sat there for over 15 minutes with no acknowledgement while watching one of the attendants cleaning tables and pushing in chairs. We were the first in and watched as others were served. I am usually very patient and when I do leave a review it is positive. Got a refund on our tasting, purchased a few of our favorite wines and left. Not sure about coming back. I can think of many other ways of ruining my day.

I enjoyed the experience overall. The view was scenic. The wine was tasty. Many different varieties available that should fit something in everyone's palette. The customer service was iffy though. There were two people serving. One was somewhat indifferent. The other was great though and explained the wines as she poured them.

The customer service was terrible. They were rude and seemed like they didn't want us there. I would not go back or recommend. The view is beautiful.

Disappointed with our visit. Made a reservation for 4 people but didn’t need it. NO explanation from server about the winery, wines, etc. Little to no conversation from her.

Our first time there and not at all impressed. Everyone looked miserable. The cashier sees us 2 and says 1 tasting, why 1 tasting for 2 people, but whatever she was young. She didn’t explain anything at all to us. Didn’t say how many different wines per tasting, didn’t even say do you want to look at a list, didn’t even smile at us. I drink sweet he drinks dry, well it is $15 for 5 tastings and they offer 3 sweet wines, all are a reisling, 3 types of reisling. I mentioned to our bartender how I wished the cashier would have mentioned something to us as far as what is offered and she at least offered me a glass instead of trying wines I knew I would not like. No idea how they are voted best 10 tasting rooms, I will not EVER return.

We loved heron hills wines. Good tasting, good size pours. And all delicious! Made it hard to choose which bottles we wanted to take home! Will for sure be back

Sadly editing the 5 star review way down due to a terrible experience we had this week. We revisited heron hill because of our great winter experience and while the wine and view are good, the service wasn’t even horrible, it was MIA. No one spoke to us, the girl at the counter was inconvenienced by us wanting to get glasses of wine, and at one point all employees were in the back with the door open talking loudly about tampons and periods. I then had to go back and ask for someone to check us out for a shirt. I was planning to stock up on wine but I can’t spend money somewhere I was not welcome.
We were here twice this week and it was wonderful both times! The wine is good , the service is friendly, and the tasting room is such a pretty vibe! Will definitely be back.
