Wife loves their wines. A little dry for my taste. Many benefits as a wine club member. Worth checking into. Great view
I've been here a few times and gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time. Their wine is fine, but some of the staff behaves as if they're in the hills of Napa, and quite frankly, wineries in Napa aren't this pretentious. There is definitely a vibe that is stiff and cold. There are so many wineries to choose from with a friendlier more relaxed environment. It costs more for a tasting than it does for a bottle of wine. It has definitely changed over the years.
Fabulous wines with such flavor! The detailed descriptions were spot on. Tasted those subtle flavors were lovely on the palate and the pairing plate was so yummy. Add in the tasting room with great acoustics and the vineyard/lake view and the result is an afternoon in paradise!
This was a fabulous winery in the Keuka region. The outside area was just perfect for a beautiful fall day. The dry red wines were wonderful, especially the Cab Franc. The Rieslings were also great, and loved the large salmon in the vineyard. The flights were priced afffordably, with a nice pour and came in a great holder. Finally, it was great they served food here as many of the wineries we visited did not. A great charcuterie board makes the experience better. Looking back the only thing we did not like was the Amur, but first time ever trying it, so maybe when we visit next time it will taste better. Definitely a place to visit.
Few years ago I found out they planted Georgian grapes Sapheravi and Rkatsiteli (1983). I vizited to see and taste them ? I was so excited, happy and proud when guy was explaining guest Sapheravi is from Eastern Europe, County or Georgia ?? and Georgia is homeland of wine. Georgian wine is 8000 years old ?
Great wines, nice outdoor space to sit and enjoy.
Beautiful setting, great Flatbread and Pinot Gris, whiek waiting for our tasting. George made our experience fun and we loved hearing the history behind the Winery. Unlike any other vineyard in the area. Very memorable!
We had never even heard of Dr. Frank’s winery until my wife was loaned a book on Finger Lakes wine history, so we decided to go. The entire experience was wonderful, from the time we were greeted at the door, through the phenomenal tasting experience and even having the wine delivered to our car on the way out.
During the tasting, we had our own wine expert (Michael) bring different wine to our table, explain what each one was, including the history of the grapes, the flavors to expect, how dry or sweet each one might taste, etc. We even had a dessert wine, which were not big on, that we tried before and after a piece of dark chocolate. Wow, what a difference!
Long story short, we went home with 14 bottles of wine. And, I would say, it may be the best wine we have tasted in the area.
This was one of the first stops we made on our wine tasting tour and we had a great time. Lynn and Alan were incredible tasting guides and we’d all love to come back!
We had a wonderful experience at Dr Konstantin Frank winery. The views from the deck overlooking the vineyards and lake were beautiful. Slavka was so helpful and knowledgeable about the wines, which paired well with the charcuterie board. They even gave us a complimentary dessert as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We purchased several bottles to take home. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely wonderful wines! Our server was Sue and she was such a joy and so knowledgeable!
What a wonderful wine tasting experience. Staff is friendly ad knowledgeable, wines are fantastic and a gorgeous view of the lake.
After visiting two relative newcomers in the Finger Lakes region we decided it was time to visit the venerable Dr. Konstantin Frank.
The wine was great and the tasting room was very, well, tastefully appointed. What set the experience apart was that the person who led our tasting also gave us the history of the winery and of the man, Dr. Frank.
Also, after mentioning that it was our anniversary on that very day, they brought us an unexpected treat.
We hope to come back to this area more in the years to come, and I think we will always ensure that we get to see what is new here.
Beautiful place! Excellent wine tasting service. Sue was professional, knowledgeable and so enthusiastic about her work. Lucky us as novices in wine and winery ?
Our first stop on Keuka lake. Had several people tell me to add this to my wine trail. This was my 1st visit to this lake and winery. The wines were absolutely fantastic. I'm definitely more than an amateur wine drinker. I was so impressed with the wines. The charcuterie board was amazing! The purchased a bottle of the Pinot Noir. We cannot wait to return.
