Dinning on the boardwalk on a warm evening is amazing. Hope they bring back the BBQ and bread boards!

Charming and quaint right on the water. Food was delicious— my party had the Portabella mushroom sandwich, the Diablo pasta special, the Friday fish fry, shrimp tacos—all were excellent, fairly priced, the service was wonderful. Views extra special. I would 100% return.

⭐️⭐️⭐️½ (5 stars for the view)
Snug Harbor is worth a visit for the setting alone—the view of the lake is stunning and makes for a perfect backdrop to a casual meal or drink. The space itself is relaxed and comfortable, fitting for lake life, and the service was fantastic: warm, friendly, and attentive throughout.
As for the food, it was a mixed experience. We started with the charcuterie board, which arrived in a paper box and unfortunately felt more like a store-bought lunch kit than a curated appetizer—cold, bland cheeses and meats without much appeal. The salmon entrée, however, was excellent. Perfectly cooked and well-seasoned, it was served with zucchini, asparagus, and a generous portion of pan-fried garlic potato chunks—a dish I would happily order again. Dessert, a brownie sundae, was just okay. It could have been great if the brownie had been warmed to balance the cold ice cream.
The biggest miss of the night was the Old Fashioned, which tasted nothing like the classic cocktail and would benefit from a name change.
Overall, Snug Harbor shines in atmosphere, service, and its lakeside views. The food is hit or miss, but with a meal like the salmon and the unbeatable setting, it’s still a nice spot to spend an evening.

It was our anniversary weekend and we were staying in the area. We looked for a nice place to have dinner and decided on this restaurant because of pictures and reviews. We looked up the menu etc. We made reservations because it seemed that you should yo make sure you got a table, We go to dinner and it’s not very clear for patrons coming by land where to park or enter the building. We went in and were a little early so we thought we would have a drink at the bar first. Bar was nice and had great air conditioning, Bartender friendly, drink was great. At our requested time we go to hostess ( also very nice) and she leads us to a dining room , completely empty. We thought well this is nice all to ourselves, mind you we chose to eat inside because it was hot out another reason I was compelled to make a reservation. The server was very nice and professional and gave us the menus it was a very small menu. I wanted to say NOPE and walk out and go somewhere else but being our anniversary I guess we weren’t trying to ruin it and have to go find another. ( hindsight wish we would have) but we both found something that we kinda liked and ordered. Promptly food came out with a smile, as mentioned the staff was all great…. But the food was soggy and chewy and stale. I had a chicken Caesar salad and husband had pulled pork sandwich. We tried making the best of it but didn’t stay for desert of course and we will not go back. Servers and staff- A Food-F
Service was phenomenal, incredibly thoughtful waitress who had our kids in mind the whole meal. The food was OK but the service and atmosphere more than made up for it. They worked hard to make us feel welcome and taken care of and it showed.

They stuck us in a corner and forgot about us. We watched people run by for 15 minutes before we could flag someone down. We were near the opening for the porch, so waiters and waitresses flew by, coming and going quickly, even when we tried to get their attention.
We were finally able to order a char board and it arrived in a little cardboard box. Way too small for the price and not the beautiful board (on the actual board) that we were after.
The other food was okay but you're really paying for the location, even if your table doesn't have the view from inside. The service was not good.
The best thing we had was the burrata with the fruit. We ordered it later to add to the disappointing char board. That one was worth the money.
They seem to concentrate on the boat customers outside, with less time spent on indoor customers.

Not a good experience. Took 15 minutes after seating for a staff member to see us. They were out of drinks on the menu but we weren’t made aware until 15 minutes in. The margarita was horrible and it didn’t seem like there was much or any alcohol in there. Food was overpriced, poorly seasoned, and poorly cooked. One steak was so rare it looked like a health hazard. One member of our party requested the salmon be cooked more well done and received it on the rare side. The clams were good and location is nice if you manage to get a seat outdoors. Nothing to dry your hands with in the restroom expect a soaking wet roll of paper towels. Service overall was abysmal with servers on their phones and no urgency about meeting guest needs.

Wait staff and restaurant where absolutely great. It was drizzling when we go to the restaurant, but it stopped shortly after we arrived. Helped us pick up our things and moved us right next to the water. The owners mom is a gem and apparently makes the delicious desserts on site. My wife loved her shrimp tacos and our Barata was absolutely awesome. Highly recommend. Only knock I could think of is the menu is a little small, but other than that great time.

We had an absolutely amazing experience last evening at the Snug Harbor in Hammondsport, NY. I called ahead for a reservation as my parents were not only celebrating major birthdays but also celebrating their 60th Anniversary. Snug Harbor was their request and from the moment we arrived we were treated very well. The atmosphere is always exceptional, the food was out of this world (4 shared the BBQ board & raved about it, I had the Market salad with grilled salmon & I highly recommend it! My husband had the Ahi Tuna sandwich & enjoyed it very much!)…we all enjoyed wine, or a cocktail which were delivered quickly. Dezz was a FANTASTIC server & took very good care of us. Imagine our absolute surprise when Dezz & Crystal appeared with celebratory desserts! Thank you to Brian, Kiersten, Dezz, Crystal, & crew for making this a very memorable evening!
Highly recommend!
