pelkey’s is by far my favorite bar when I come upstate. Don’t let the interior fool you…both the drinks, the food, and the service are absolutely top notch. And the owner is the friendliest coolest dude this side of the Delaware. If you’re in callicoon, it’s a can’t miss!

Hidden gem! If you are a local or a city slicker, this place is the jam. GREAT food - elevated pub fare and phenomenal service. Try the chef's signature El Diablo sandwich and the Old Standard burger!!!! Also, check out their Chicago Deep Dish pizza on Thursdays! Hoping they bring back the weekend brunch (was sold out all the time)!!

A nice hidden gem away from it all. When you want pub food, but then you find you also might have a craving for some other options...this is that place! Great beer and cocktail menu. Will be returning for Detroit pizza night!

On a typical Wednesday night in Callicoon, we were hungry to try something new. I noticed Pelkey's tavern on a google map - just 10 minutes away in Hankins - and we decided to give it a shot. So glad that we did. This restaurant was a delightful surprise. The food was very good. The owner was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. It's a wonderful addition to the dining options in the Callicoon area and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a change of pace.

My favorite restaurant in our area! Absolutely wonderful and delicious food with a great atmosphere. The pretzel (beer cheese is amazing!), Diablo breaded chicken sandwich (huge!!) and the French onion soup are my favorites but I've definitely enjoyed everything I've tried thus far! The drinks are delicious and bartenders are super nice. Highly recommended to all my friends and family, you'll want to keep coming back.

We only went once to Pelkey's The menu online looked attractive/interesting and it suggested sophistication. I'd even describe it as aspirational. In reality, the food was just fine but nothing remarkable, and descent value for the prices, which were in line with this type of restaurant.The caveat to these comments is that we only went this one time, which perhaps is not a fair way to assess a restaurant. (There were four of us, all getting different items, and we all had the same response.) I guess the best way to describe is tavern is to say, "Not bad." It appears to be very popular.

Drove by one day. Came back a week later.Service was terrible. Took 10 minutes to get a drink order. And placed an appetizer order. Never got it.A group of guys came in 5 minutes after us. Got all their drinks and appetizers before me.I was there for 40 minutes. Got one diet coke, no appetizer or food even though I ordered it. The chef came out to talk to people. Laughing and stuff. I asked about my food order. He claimed he never got the order, but I had the receipt showing I ordered food. I asked to have them taken off.This could have been a real treat. I was going to bring my band here to play live if it was good. But after tonight's service no go.I don't blame the one person taking drink orders and food orders. There was only one person for everything order wise. But two cooks. Why the lag. The the waitress was a sweet heart.
