We stopped here on a whim (not from the area), and while we weren't greeted or given a menu for quite some time and had to wait even longer for our food to come out, as discouraged as I felt about the food to come given our first impression, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was worth the wait (aside from the fruit salad- the blueberries were spoiled and the bananas were brown). This place sells the famous Freight Train sandwich which was always a family favorite. One if not the best things on the menu. Havent ate here in a year and just had the sandwich again and instantly noticed why I stopped coming. The chicken is no longer real chicken. Used to be though. Just chicken nugget meat in a tender shape. This place in on the decline and it was one of the staple food spots in Harriman. Cause there is barely any. Also a little annoyed they charge you $2.50...
Wife ordered French toast. Which was really good! UNTIL we found the waitress’ hair was in it! I ordered and egg omelette with turkey, tomatoes, home fries and a Belgian waffle. The omelette was good until I got toward the center where I unfortunately was tasting spoil turkey. And the Belgian waffle was really really doughy. The home fries were really good! Its a nice place!
