this was my pizza place when we lived down the street in WP, and since moving to ossining, we've just never found anything that lives up to avellino's. between the homemade garlic bread, the incredible dishes, and (obviously) the pizza, it's worth the 20+ minute drive for takeout from our new digs, and we do so every chance we get. nicest workers, and all in all best little spot.
I had a late night hankering for pizza. My husband popped in right as they were closing on a Thursday night. The owner was nice enough to make a fresh pie - just so we could have 3 slices of cheese pizza. My husband ended up purchasing the whole pie because he really appreciated the owners kindness and patience mid-closing. Can't tell you how TASTY this fresh pie is at 10:15pm. Thank you! We appreciate your kindness and amazing customer service.

On a friday night, the owner's dedication to quality is top tier Their large margherita pizza at $19 is the only reasonable pizza in Scarsdale. Garlic knots are worth every penny, with generous proportions. Really good crust for new york style pizza.
