Ever since this place opened up I’ve been trying to stop by I’ve never had chance till today and totally worth it.. I’m a very big foodie I’m extremely picky when it comes to where I choose to eat but this place wow wow I had the steak sandwich delicious very well seasoned bread outstanding meat very tender service is excellent and very family friendly also I had the best cafe con leche and it didn’t bother my stomach that says a lot..definitely going back loved it!!

A cozy café with window stools along wide countertop to dine inside. Enjoy free Wi-Fi, charging station for your cell phone and help yourself to refreshing lemon water. The owner is super friendly, and there’s convenient municipal parking right across the street. Can’t wait to return!

Tostones con Mojo/Fried Green Pantains with Garlic Sauce. (The garlic sauce is a family recipe - absolutely delicious.)
Media Noche Pernil, ham, swiss, pickles and mustard all pressed on sweet Cuban egg bread. (everything I wanted from a Cuban sandwich, but with a softer sweeter bread.)
Papi's Pan con Lechon Roasted mojo pork and grilled onions on toasted Cuban bread.(awesome)
Cortadito Bon Bon Espresso with equal part condensed milk
Jupina - cuban pineapple soda (so good. I had to take a can home.)

My wife and I have been to a good amount of Cuban spots, but this one is the best! I definitely recommend the steak sandwich and vaca frita. Everything looks fantastic though. It’s always the small spots that have the best food . You won’t be let down on the food, kindness, and great vibes.
The food was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted like heaven. The sandwiches were absolutely amazing with everything contained being Cuban. Giving the sense of nostalgia. 10/10 easily don’t listen to the other bad reviews. I recommend everything from this place.

Annarella runs a great business and serves very high quality cuban sandwiches and platters, by far best in area. I highly recommend. Not much seating, takeout easier!
Matanzas is the most Cuban authentic restaurant that I have dined in, in Westchester, NY, and probably in New Jersey. It was a take-out order: I had pernil which comes with rice and black beans. I also had croquetas and fried sweet plantains. I was impressed with the quality of the food, the portions, the very authentic seasons and consistency. For instance, the pernil's seasoning was right on point, it came already shredded. However, I was most impressed with the black beans because not only had the right flavor but excellent consistency. These black beans were not watered down, and that's difficult to find in a restaurant. The croquetas were of good size and very tasty, also not a common occurrence. Let's not leave out the service: It was friendly. Truly, a pleasure. Matanzas, you have a new customer that will be coming back to keep trying all your other dishes! Keep up the quality of your meals!!!

Matanzas is the most Cuban authentic restaurant that I have dined in, in Westchester, NY, and probably in New Jersey.
