I went to 1823 on a Friday night with the boys and played some pool and had a great time. The staff is very nice and friendly and their drinks are very good. I would definitely recommend going there.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Horrible and rude staff who think that you owe them something for being there. Not welcoming at all. Also serve literal children at this bar, don’t come if you want to rub shoulders with 18 year olds. Bathrooms were disgusting and felt like I was being rushed out by all the employees. Would rather take the train to the city for bars then to go here again.

Went after work on a Friday. Cash only, couldn’t play one game of pool and bartender rushed us out. I guess it’s more of a pool night time bar but we were the only people in there…. Could have been so much more welcoming.

I visited 1823 ENC for the first time and was incredibly disgusted by the behavior of almost every staff member. As an avid traveler, I have been to bars across the US and the world and have never seen staff mistreat and abuse it's patrons as poorly as 1823 did. I stepped out at around 1am to say goodbye to my friends. Upon arriving back to the front, I was told by the bouncer that there was no reentry unless you were with the Stony Brook group that had filled the club up. I showed proof that I was with them and was still not allowed back. That's fine. A business is legally allowed to refuse service for any reason. However, not even a minute after speaking to the security, I witnessed 4 individuals waltz back inside and the security guard did not even bat an eye. I asked once again why I was not allowed back inside and was told a different excuse. I took my loss and decided to wait for my Uber on a bench on the side of the club. At this point, I witnessed two security guards escorting a somewhat sober gentleman out of the club from the rear entrance of the club. The two security guards confiscated the gentleman's phone and told him to come back and get it some other time. The two security guard were also physically assaulting the gentleman OFF OF THE BUSINESSES PROPERTY. This vile disregard for property and human life prompted me to step in. I have a federal officer in my immediate family and upon showing the security guards my credentials, they're tone changed completely. No longer were they hassling the gentleman. The staff was now claiming that they did not have the gentleman's phone and that they had no idea where it was (it was clearly in the security guard's hand). The "owner" of the store began to explain his side of the story at which point I stepped away (so as to not get unblocked with any litigation or issues) and documented exactly what occurred. I have a clear video of a security guard assaulting the patron off of business property and will be contacting the related agencies in order to get this sorted. I tipped every bartender extremely well even though their drinks were terribly watered down. I did not expect to see such poor service and definitely did not expect to see a young adult assaulted and his property stolen from him.

I get all my fruit and vegetables over here because I can count on my produce not going bad on me 3 days after buying it. Their deli department is very friendly and the meat department is very friendly as well! This is a store where you can get your essentials for under $30.

This is not a 4 star place at all, not when workers are packing out the lettuce and have snot dripping from their nose into the product. I literally left everything I had in my cart right there and walked out and I've been going there for 6 years never again now looking for a new place to get veggies.

I just had to take a minute to say how wonderful Virginia is @ the deli. She was so so so helpful and honestly just amazing. I needed a 4 ft hero for my sisters shower first thing Saturday AM and she went above and beyond. Absolutely exceptional customer service.
The Giunta's meat farms that I've been to are: 134 Commack Rd, Commack, NY 11725 (My current one near me) 4585 Sunrise Hwy, Bohemia, NY 11716 (Has great standing rib roasts, may have to ask the butcher) 1610 NY-112, Medford, NY 11763 (Another gem) 575 Smithtown Bypass, Hauppauge, NY 11788 (This one has Italian espresso/coffee - Lavazza) 318 Portion Rd, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779 ( I found shashito peppers here before)

Local supermarket with decent produce and selection. Good sales on excellent quality meats. In store and easily accessible butchers are happy to customize your meat selections. Once you get to know the store you'll find they carry a surprisingly eclectic selection of ethnic grocery items. Deli counter friendly staff with great selections of Boarshead and store brand cold cuts not to mention the store made salads (the anti pasta is my fave) Not a place to go for fresh seafood if this is your thing. So when you need to pick up a few things to complete your meal plan shopping list rest assured Meat Farms will have what you need and get you outa there quickly
