Steve's Piccola Bussola III

What can I say that I haven't said before? Dinner for my wife and me, along with our daughter, SIL, and 2 1/2 yo granddaughter last night. We sat down around 5:45 and commenced feasting. Appetizers were fried calamari, which is prepared here better than any other restaurant in Suffolk County, and fried mozzarella (my daughter's favorite since we used to eat at the Westbury location 30 tears ago!). I had the homemade orichietta (sp?) with lobster and shrimp in a ponk sauce. Its pretty much a standard "special" there, in that its not on the menu. Whule we are on the subject, you can choose from the extensive menu, or dream up whatevre dish you want and Joe, the owner, will make it for you. Exactly the way you want it. If Joe is not in the kitchen when you are there, fear not. His partner Rocco will cater to your culinary tastes. My SIL had another special, sea scallops and shrimp with spinach, tomato, and canelloni beans with oil and garlic. My better half had the papardelle pinipessa, which is basically bolognese and ala vodka. My daughter had another of her long time favorites for her entree, that being the penne ala vodka with grilled chicken. The result? My SIL and I were memebers of the Clean Plate Club, our wives took home some leftover pasta after sating themselves, our granddaughter had her every wish catered to by the very friendly, attentive wait staff. Outstanding, as usual!

Ate at this location for the first time Saturday night. We have been to the original Westbury location several times. The food and service are exemplary ! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend this hidden gem ! 10 out of 10

Hidden gem. Great for a family style dinner, reasonable prices and authentic Italian food. Do not judge this place by the signs out front when you pass it, you will be incredibly pleased with the food options, food quality, and service. Highly recommend

Food was spectacular. Service was great. Will definitely go back. The Pappardalle was exceptional!

Dont drive by this typical storefront and miss delicious food. The experience was perfect. Order clams on a half shell entire clam! Worth it. My Dad an old time clammer said they were better than his. My sister too and her pallet rivals mine. Chicken was juicy and seasoned to perfection. My kid hates Italian and he liked the chicken cutlet tender that didnt really taste like a tender but better. Desserts were splendid Cannoli, airyvcheese cake. Wow. Thank you for making a moving away celebration perfect.

We went for Fathers Day and it was packed! The service was top notch and the food was delicious. The clams, mozzarella balls and artichoke appetizers were outstanding! The pasta and chicken scarpiello entrees were the ultimate. We can not wait to go back!

Drove up from down south for Dr appointments and met my brother and sisters and spouses for dinner. Had a wonderful time and the staff didn't rush us at all.

Best Italian food period. Generous portions, outstanding and accommodating service, and delicious sauces make this one of favorite restaurants. Between the Westbury and Hauppauge locations, we've been customers for nearly 40 years. Can't say enough good things about the place!

Chicken Francese and Shrimp Arreganato were very tasty but but the Family style shrimp was not very big portion. So 2 family style dishes and 1 vegetable was not sufficient to satisfy 4 adults.
