One of the many Latin American restaurants I’ve experienced that will try to charge non-Hispanic people extra. Ordered a small plate of food, along with a smoothie. While waiting, I checked the menu prices because I already knew how things go at places like this. A smoothie is listed as $6 on their menu, without any indication of an upcharge for ordering more than one fruit in it. The lady tried to charge me $22 total. I asked how much each of these items cost, and she said it’s $10 for the smoothie and $12 for the food. The owner then chimed in and tried to convince me that I’d be paying the correct price. That’s when I had to pull out their menu and remind them that they’re legally required to charge me the price on their menu. He then told me that the menu prices are outdated since 2017, which is obviously not my problem. Your menu prices have been outdated for eight years, yet you still have these menus on display by the register. I refused to pay $10 for a $6 smoothie, which left the food item that the lady brought down from $12 to $10 after realizing that I’m not gullible.
It really is a shame that most these Latin businesses try to scam customers of different races. No other race does that, at least in my experience. If I looked Latino and spoke Spanish (even though I did put effort into speaking Spanish with her), I’m 100% certain that they wouldn’t try to charge me $22 for an order that shouldn’t cost more than $16. It’s especially a shame since their food is actually very good, which is why I’m giving a generous 2-star rating. If you’re non-Hispanic and want to try their food, order it on a third-party delivery app so you’re guaranteed to pay the prices listed on that app’s menu.
Soy un gringo, pero no soy estúpido 😉

I'm sorry to say that as Latinos I ordered scrambled eggs with vegetables and they were great. Salty, order potatoes in sauce and also salty, order liquefied beans and also super salty and they charge like a 5 star restaurant, very bad, I don't recommend it
