I go to this great restaurant often! This is my favorite restaurant to eat. I go to this spot regularly. The meals are excellent, the team is welcoming and the cost is fair. I enjoy being in this place for a good lunch.

I was working 5 minutes away from there over last weekend. As a good Peruvian I won't recommend anyone to even try it. Saturday I order jalea was ok but nothing amazing. Their chaufa mixto barely find some seafood there the hot sauce has so much Mayo in it that you could even taste it. They didn't have plates to go and silverware on top of that the girl that was there wasn't smart enough to give me some to go containers at least and I asked her. I went back on Sunday to give them a second chance and got worse, the pollo a la brasa was salty, their beans are not how we make it in Peru (their beans are from cans), salad didn't have dressing or lime juice, the girl that helped me at least gave me some to go containers to eat on a plate. Once again they didn't have to go silverware.

If I could give this 0 stars I honestly would. Everything was going smooth until we got our food... the server bough out our entrees and I asked where our appetizers were, she said they're coming out and I asked if they're appetizers why would She bring them with the entrees... rudely she said well you should've said you wanted them as an appetizer, I said I mean if the food I ordered is under "appetizers" its an appetizers unless other wise asked for.. she literally kept arguing trying to make it seem like it was my fault, as a good customer I took everything instead of sending it back, after that happened she never came back to our table to ask if we needed anything or make sure we were good. I knew I was not wrong when another customer had an issue with her too. To make the story short the food wasn't food at all either so we barely ate, mind you it was me, my boyfriend and my son who were dining when I asked for the bill I had to ask her co worker and I never got the bill to my table, I had to go to the front and ask where I had to pay... she rudely told me to "come here" to the table where she was eating and handed me a receipt that already included 15% gratuity and I asked why she took the tip if its only a party of 3 not 6, again she rudely said its restaurant policy! At this point I no longer wanted to argue nor be there anymore and paid and left. My cousin is a regular there and told me they never dis that to him unless the bill is over 120$ and our bill was $70 ! Would not recommend this to anyone !! HORRIBLE SERVICE and the food is not impressive at all.

Great quality Peruvian food. Not many restaurants in LI get it right, but el Ajicito always hits the spot. I come with my family often, service is good sometimes might be slow due to the restaurant being too busy and not enough wait staff. The food is more than worth it !

I have come here sevEral tiMes witH my faMily and the Service is always excellent. My mother in law ordereD a Seco de cabrito and she was very pleased with the flavor. I order lomo salteado. Very good soft meat and flavorful. Also the chicha morada was really good and refreshing.

We ordered a chicken combo. It was good but salty, the sauce they usually give was extra spicy. There was a yellow and a green both tasted the same as well as extra spicy. Overall i had to throw out a quarter of the chicken bc it was too salty. The fries were good but the salad was old. Some pieces of the lettuce were slimy and the avocado was bad with black all over. Prob won't come back as overall i wasn't satisfied.

I wish we would of tried this place sooner. For my sisters birthday my family and I came to El Ajicito. We had Eduardo as our waiter. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable about the menu and gave us recommendations. The food was delicious you can't go wrong with this place. I'm so mad at myself for not taking any pictures. Anyways if you go to this restaurant make sure to ask for Eduardo, he's a great waiter and will give you excellent service.

A really great spot. Great service and fast food. The chairs rice with beef and chicken is great! The Pisao sour was everything as well. The place is a family friendly spot and I will be back . The music is good and low enough to listen but not to bother.

Overoll the food is always good, however the waiters are a little rude, you are a place of food where you interact with people.

This is the best bang for your buck!!! Their pollo a la brasa is excellent, and when they have their Pulpo a la Norteí±a it's a must! Pretty much any dish that you order will satisfy you to the max!!!

wow! My family and I was so lucky to stumble upon this Peruvian restaurant during the end of our shopping day. It's a decently big restaurant, has a bar inside and a dining room. Our Waitor Eduardo was so helpful! He realized it was our first time in El Ajicito and quickly recommended some of their great dishes. What we ordered... Papas 3 Sabores, it's a mixture of 3 potato creams, papa a la huancaina, ocopa, and crema de rocoto. The taste of each cream was really good! Great seasoning and the crema de rocoto was spicy to its perfection. I wish they would've added a bit more cream to each potato. Leche de tigre Ajicito, is their own creation of regular leche de tigre with a small portion of jalea on the side. The leche de tigre was really good! It had enough lime, not a lot of onions, it included a bit of yuyo (seafood). I have to say I was impressed! I really enjoyed it & I can't wait to try the ceviche next time I go back. The jalea was also good. Nothing special. Just fried fish and calamari. Pollo a la brasa with French fries and salad, such a typical go to Peruvian dish. The chicken was extremely fresh, juicy, and savory! The skin on top was crispy too. The chicken was very tendered. Tacu tacu con Seco de cabrito a la norteí±a, that was delicious. I have to say, this restaurant is definitely living up to its name saying they're from the northern part of Peru. Not everyone can make seco de cabrito and make it good for that matter. The cabrito (baby goat) was so tender! So soft! Cooked to perfection! The tacu tacu was tasty, the fried beans and rice mixed together went so well with the juicy sauce from the seco. Great portion size too. The ONLY thing I did NOT like from this place was the green sauce they give you with the cancha. It had a LOT of huacatai, a Peruvian herb used to make the ocopa sauce which is also used to make a green spicy sauce. The one they put out for us was not well done. Very minor dislike. I would definitely come back to this restaurant! It was great! I want to try other dishes! Again, our waitor Eduardo was great! Thanks for being patient, friendly and welcoming.
