Better options in the area. Jerk chicken had too much barbecue sauce.

I went there on a Friday evening around 9pm. The cashier seemed to have an attitude. The food was salty. The service and food used to be nice.

The only reason I gave this place 3 stars is because the food is delicious. However, the service is awful—rude and unprofessional. It's some of the worst service I've ever experienced at a Jamaican restaurant, and unfortunately, they have a reputation for terrible customer service. The portion sizes are extremely small. I paid $10 for just 3 pieces of chicken. It feels like they're trying to save the food for themselves rather than giving customers their money’s worth. Charging $10 for three pieces of chicken is just outrageous.

Horrible experience with jerk pork. 90% of all of the pieces of jerk pork they gave me was just fat and skin and all the hairs were not burnt off which is a sign of uncleaned meat. Completely disgusting to see that while eating.
Food is good but what is food without gravy, and I called them and told them to put gravy on my food. I ordered food a month ago and the same thing no gravy makes no sense you put gravy on rice or the side the reason why I won’t be buying from them again no one wants to choke while eating, also I added for sauce on my shrimp I guess they ran out of sauce also my husband got escovishe fish with rice same thing no gravy and I told them.. so wasted money again…. Not again i will not be ordering from them

My go to spot for West Indies cuisine when I’m in the area. The food quality is top notch. The portion size is great. The service is pretty fast in comparison to most of the WI takeout restaurants I’ve gone to.. and I’ve been to a lot. They also had some great music setting the vibes playing while I was waiting for my food. That’s a plus for me!

I understand you close at 9:30. I’ve been able to place an oder before 9 previously. Especially knowing the items I planned on ordering are already cooked & just has to be packaged. But the rudeness I just experienced on the phone was completely unnecessary. Picking up the call, & asking what I would like then immediately saying NO! WE CLOSE AT 9! Is nasty work especially on Juneteenth of all days. Work on your customer service your food is not that good to be speaking to people like that real talk. Now I remember why I stopped supporting this place. Thank you for the reminder. There is a way to speak to people & that wasn’t it. Shame on whoever that woman was that answered the phone. Your home training & phone etiquette needs work. Just nasty & rude for no reason. Booo*throws tomatoes* Also if your business hours have changed maybe update it online or something? I know sense isn’t common but come on. There’s never a need for unprovoked rudeness. I would like to believe you was raised better than that.

This is my honest review! I ordered on Uber eats stew chicken, chicken rasta pasta & fried whiting fish. I ordered a small size for both dishes & 2 pieces of whiting fish. Taste: the stew chicken was great & I loved the chicken Rasta pasta. The Rasta pasta had a sweet/spicy taste which I enjoyed. The stew chicken portion was very generous and filling especially for a small size. The whiting fish was a bit bland so I had to knock a star off, but it definitely had potential. Price: food was very affordable even ordering through Uber eats (I did have a promo code, but I feel even without one the food wouldn’t be too costly). Overall, I would definitely eat here again and it may become my go to spot for Jamaican food. I added pictures of my order below.
