All right, I think the point of reviews are to keep real, so this is not discrediting the chef but this food is not it. !! I got fried wings, mac & cheese, collard greens. The collard greens have 0 flavor no salt no pepper no garlic literally nothing the mac & cheese NOPE ! taste like nothing. Now the star of my plate was the fried fish season to perfection not soggy not too crispy. Just perfect. I feel like my food has a lot of potential just needs flavor do not recommend if you're really hungry, I do recommend the fish but that it tho

I really want to ask them if they knew my Mama, cause if I were to close my eyes I could swear my Mama made the meal. We just ordered Salmon w/Cold Slaw and Turkey Wings with Collard Greens, Mac & Cheese, Candi Yams. These talented people sure know how to prepare a Southern Home Cooked meal! I've ordered from them before and I'm not sure if they have a sit-down restaurant, but if so, we will definitely pay them a visit for a sit-down dinner. Thank you Long Island Soul Food Restaurant!!! Absolutely astonished by this hidden gem of a place… I was completely mind blown by their oxtail with rice and beans… Juicy flavoring, perfect temperature, and just the right amount of portioning.

Went to the place yesterday evening on 9/15/2023 and order 2 orders of whiting fish with shrimp with french fries and a side order turkey wing.When i got home and opening the bag the turkey juice was all over the food beside the fish smelled like burnt plastic and tasted nasty as hell with no taste and dripping with fish grease. the shrimp also tasted just like the fish .the only thing that tasted okay was the fries .The turkey wing was big as hell and nasty also had to throw the food out.I wasted $32.76 dollars and will never go back to that place anymore.
Food is good! I've ordered Turkey Wings Twice with Rice n Beans and Mac n cheese. The max n cheese was just okay. But the Turkey wings and rice was amazing! I wound suggest ordering something that already prepared instead of something that needs to go in the fryer ( seafood ). I would go here again

Seriously going downhill since they first opened. Food used to be great! Now it's a hit or miss. Pay your money and hope for the best. And the staff is incompetent and all charge different prices for the same food. Today I was told a usual 2 piece chicken meal now only comes with 1 and a half pieces. And the menu clearly says medium (1piece)/ large (2piece). And it's $1 more now with less food. They have the nerve to try to charge $2.50 for ONE piece of fried fish. That is robbery. And I was just there last week and was charged $2 per piece. and the lady who charged me $2 was standing right there pretending it wasn't her who charged me that price, but I stayed silent because my goal was not to get her in trouble. Not worth going there anymore. They upcharge prices, skimp you on the food, and act like you don't know what you're talking about when you ask about the fluctuation in prices. I'm so done with them. There is conveniently NEVER a manager around to speak to. They need to be shut down cause what they do there is straight illegal!

Yams, cabbage, whiting,BBQ ribs and the turkey wings DELICIOUSLY CONSISTENT! Mac and cheese is hit or miss, its not always good.Parking: Parking in the front is hit or miss. But plenty of street parking
I'd fonly been here once before and had forgotten about this place. Will definitely be my go-to from now on! I had the medium entree of smothered pork chop, white rice with gravy, and string beans. So delicious! The pork chop was a little over cooked but it was still so so good! Reminded me of Sunday dinner.The young lady behind the counter was so pleasant.
