The food is fantastic, the service is unparalleled, and the drinks are delicious. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Went there to dine in a couple months ago and everything was great. The homemade chips came with a fresh salsa that had us coming back which we did last Wednesday (take out) What a disappointment! The chips were fine, but the salsa tasted like watered down ketchup. No tang, and the most scant cilantro I could imagine. My friend liked her beef tacos but my dinner combo was awful. The chicken tamale was pretty good but a very small portion. The small scoop of rice was ok but where were the beans? The Chile Relleno was the worst I’ve had. The poblano pepper was way undercooked and they drowned the whole plate with too much cheese. I would have been fine if the cheese was decent. This cheese was like they heated a jar of Velveeta in a microwave and poured it over the whole plate. Yuck!

Parking: Handicap parking is somewhat far from the actual entrance.

A coworker and his wife surprised me on my Birthday with take out from Mecate. The enchiladas were EXCELLENT, the best I've ever had. And the home made tortilla chips were also amazing. I will definitely go back.

The food here is delicious and the staff are wonderful. The prices aee reasonable, especially for what you get. We have been to many restaurants throughout Rochester and this one is BY FAR the best.

I love their food (more than other local places with similar cuisine), their staff are very pleasant, and out of 5 visits here, we've only had to wait for a table once.

Food and service is 0 stars, the atmosphere was cool. Severely disappointed with the service of this restaurant. My girlfriend and I sat down and waited for a half an hour to not even receive water or ask what we would like to order. They had one server working and the manager refused to help out the server. And when I walked out and told the manger why were we leaving he said “I sent the guy over”. The manager is super unprofessional and should have noticed that his employee was over worked and stepped up to the plate. Never going again to this restaurant.

Elena was a great! I had the steak and cheese burrito and my friend had the steak and shrimp fajitas. Both were absolutely delicious. This was my second time here and won't be my last.
