This was my first time going there. I'm used to Halal food in New York City. The owner assured me this was better that and he was right. He spent about 5 minutes talking to me in between working telling me about how it's prepared. I got the chicken with the rice pilaf and it was great. I just couldn't get enough I wanted another plate. Thank you and I will definitely be back.
My husband and I are so glad we tried Alons Halal Grill!! The food is absolutely delicious, large portions and healthy food. The owners were very kind and explained what the different dishes were made of. We would highly recommend this restaurant!. We will most definitely be going back for our date night dinners. I would also like to try their smoothie drinks!
Everything was delicious! A new cuisine for the family. Highly recommend.

Delicious Uzbek restaurant! The owner is incredibly hospitable and the food was absolutely delicious! The tea was perfect on a cold night and the kebabs were fantastic with tender lamb and juicy beef as well as perfect rice and salad. The Uzbek dumplings were out of this world as well. The sauces were amazing and everything is homemade. I highly recommend trying this place out! Go support this lovely family business!

Everytime I’ve eaten from here, the food has been exceptional! What is even better than the food are the hospitality and customer care that the owners and staff exhibit consistently. When my 1.5yr old son is around the restaurant, they always interact with him and make sure he has food that he will devour. In my most recent delivery order, they were quick to resolve a problem and alert me to the issue before DoorDash even reached out to me (and it was Doordash’s error to begin with). I am so genuinely impressed by them and keep going back for more. Your establishment is a great edition to the Highland community! Thank you. Can’t wait for more food in the future!
Dietary restrictions: Very well made and super healthy

Let me start off by saying that I’m from Queens NY originally, halal food is everywhere where I’m from.
I thought I tasted everything but I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is hands down the greatest halal food I have ever had. This restaurant needs to get reviewed by a food critic because it’s a hidden gem in the Hudson valley. If you’re thinking about owning to this place and see my review Take my word for it. DO IT. My partner had the chicken over rice meal and I had the half chicken. Let’s talk about the flavor. We split our orders and it was mind blowingly good. Definitely check this place out. Customer service is great as well. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating

Randomly wandered in here today and I'm so glad I did! Clean and relaxing atmosphere. Calm, kind and friendly staff. Presentation is phenomenal and the food is out of this world! I got a lamb gyro. I do love the traditional beef/lamb mix that normally comes in a Gyro but the fresh grilled lamb in this Gyro was out of this world! I highly recommend the green tea to pair with your meal.

I've eaten at Alons' twice now: once for take out, and once for sit down. The food is absolutely delicious, you can taste the love for the cuisine. I haven't had the chance to have food from Uzbekistan before, and its a wonderful mix of flavors that are familiar but differently prepared. The Lagman noodles are handmade for days, and again, you can taste the care in the meal. Definitely worth checking out, either as a quick pick up or for sitting down in house.

We were excited to try this place but thought it was just okay. Meat Pie (Sambusa, I think) looked huge when arriving on plate, but quickly “deflated” and was nearly empty. For real, maybe two tablespoons of ground meat housed in a very oversized pastry. We tried a bunch of other dishes that were interesting, The dumplings weren’t bad. Our friend’s chicken gyro platter definitely appeared to be the winner in terms of quantity and quality. We decided to try the baklava which came out cold and soggy. Note: Baklava does NOT taste good right out of the fridge. 🤦♀️

I had a few dishes for to go, the owner and his wife were both extremely hospitable. While I was waiting for my food the owner brought me some freshly brewed Uzbek black tea. It’s loose-leaf black tea that tasted like in my childhood.
Food wise - everything is fresh, made with love. Those who at least ones tried Uzbek plov know that it’s very difficult to achieve that perfect result where all the flavors are nicely mixed together and yet rice is not overcooked and super fluffy. This one was just right! Lamb in it was also fantastic!
Definitely will go there again and will try other dishes.
