I asked for sauces at the window and the man working there, Frank, completely ignored me. He seemed more focused on talking to the girl behind him than helping the customer in front of him. Really disappointing service. Terrible McDonald’s. 1/5.

McDonald’s truly deserves recognition, especially this time of year. Walking in during the holiday season, the first thing you notice is the Christmas décor and the tree—tastefully done and genuinely welcoming. It’s pretty cool to see a fast-food restaurant take the time to decorate and show pride in their space. It immediately sets a positive tone and makes the place feel more like a community spot than just a quick stop.
What really stands out, though, is how spotless this location is. The dining area, counters, floors, and restrooms are consistently clean, which says a lot about the management and staff. You can tell there’s pride in how this store is run, and that attention to detail doesn’t go unnoticed.
I’ve been to a lot of McDonald’s locations throughout the Hudson Valley, and this one has always been a standout. Honestly, it may be one of the best McDonald’s in the entire region. This isn’t just a recent thing either—this location has been solid for years. Even when I was younger, it was a great McDonald’s, and it’s impressive to see that consistency maintained over time, including back when James Way was here.
Friendly service, a clean environment, and a location that clearly cares about presentation and customer experience. This Highland McDonald’s sets the standard for how these stores should be run. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was so excited when the snack wrap came back. I ordered one as soon as they dropped and it was great from this location. However, I went back 2 weeks later and got another one but this time it was hot. Now you might think that yes you want your food hot. However, they have lettuce in it so the lettuce should not be hot. The tortilla was crunchy on the outside, the lettuce was hot and even translucent from the heat, the ranch was even hot, and it tasted old. I went pack and gave them another shot but same issue as last time. Clearly to cut time they are pre making the wraps and keep them around and the creates a soggy nasty wrap. Went to the two Kingston locations and they make them perfect. They make them as you order it. Highland do better!!

This McDonald's is among the best I have been to. I always order a Big Mac with no cheese and they always give me exactly that! The employees are always very kind and seem to be happy to be there. The place is always clean and well-kept.

No words it’s my fault for going to McDonald’s, got the lawn guys food and this is what the hardworking man finds in his burger.
Every morning I leave my house at 6am. I go to McDonald's and get two sausage biscuits and a large coke to fuel my day of delivering packages to more than 190 families for Amazon. So one morning my wife comes with me and I made the mistake of stopping at McDonald's in Highland before the Mid Hudson Bridge. I placed my order and this young girl with a terrible attitude gave me the price of my food. It was totally different from any other McDonald's I go to and when I said something about that this young girl starts telling me I don't have to eat it. She also tells me the owners of this McDonald's does things differently! Make sure u avoid this McDonald's at all costs!! Rating of 1 star is a compliment!
