Dive bar in Highland, NY. It's worth the visit for sure. Hospitality is great as the owner Sal came around and greeted us. The waitress was on point. We got the wings, and these were your old school wings, meaty and flavorful. Definitely not the pigeon wings you get from some places. So yea, Sals place is absolutely worth the whiskey ?

The food is consistently excellent. My brother & I love this place ! Alisha does a great job taking care of ALL the customers, bar / dining. Only drawback for me is it can get pretty loud in there. That didn't bother me 20 years ago in there. ? Support this great local business !

I just don't know how they've been in business for so long . Absolutely nothing I've had from here is any good . They cater a lot of affairs at my housing complex and I have yet been able to even give them 1 star . If Sal's is catering I'm running .

I'm truly disappointed with my multiple visits to this restaurant. The service was consistently terrible, and the food was simply disgusting. On one visit, I ordered the dry rub wings, and they were dry and tasteless. Another time, I had a burnt sandwich that was inedible. It's safe to say I won't be returning to this place.
I went here alone on the worst night of my life. I was greeted by patrons who helped hold me up. The bartender is one in a billion. I know that that night would've been unbearable without her.

This place is Great to visit with the whole family . The food was Good . The atmosphere was good , but what made it great was the service , the lady went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted . She even got a coloring book and crayons for my 5 yr old to have something to do while we waited for our food . I recommend you drop in if you're in the area .

Walking in, we considered turning around. By all initial impressions, this is totally a bar that serves food, not a restaurant with a bar.But, we were quickly seated and greeted. We ordered, and the level of attention to the food did not align with our first impressions at all.The calamari was perfectly cooked and tender, the meals were all very good and the individual components well seasoned. The food is absolutely not an afterthought, but a very pleasant surprise.
