Visited at the tail end of July 4th weekend. It was apparent that staff was running on fumes but everyone was still very kind. I sampled the kolsch, rye lager, ESB, and a newly tapped hazy pale ale. The kolsch and pale were particularly good. Got the bratwurst with onions and cheese. Pro tip: the brat already comes with mustard, just top it with that. Use the cheese on the fries. They make them in house and you can tell. I would like to come back in the winter on a random day...
Look, I love this place and have been coming here for years. Great food and beer and in general a nice environment that’s always been welcoming. The food is still great and the beer good, and the employees are awesome. However, this new table service leaves a lot to be desired. I felt rushed to order and then every 5 minutes the guy was at our table clearing or asking what else we needed and in general the mood has shifted. What used to be casual and fun, ordering at the bar...
