Ordered the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy and it was just warm. Needed to be hotter. Brought it to waitress attention after the meal, she gave us a discount on the meal .

While riding through the areas, decided to stop in for lunch and take a look at the gift shop co-located here. It's been here a long time and has a great diner, restrooms, and gift shop. Parking lot is easy to get in and out of and there are plenty of spots. Access to the shop is easy, and there is a nice ramp if you need it. I came in and saw that it wasn't busy but dutifully waited at the 'wait to be seated' sign for a bit before getting seated by a window. I ordered a drink and looked through the menu. It's pretty well basic diner stuff with a few unusual sandwiches and items. Not a lot of 'traditional' or 'Native American' style food aside from corn chowder (which I've had here before and it's good). I settled on a grilled shaved ribeye with cheese and green chili sauce with a side of crinkle cut fries. It came out fairly quickly and it was good... sort of like a nice perfect grilled cheese with some beef in it. Fries were food service but cooked right. Overall, the food was pretty good. It must have been a shift change, because after my server dropped this off, she disappeared. She never checked on me and didn't bring me a bill. Another server finally brought a bill and I paid. I also checked out the restrooms (clean and nice) and the gift shop. The gift shop now has more snacks and drinks than any gifts now. They used to have a lot of Native American things like baskets, art, and local post cards but now it's more generic. Worth a look though. Overall, this place is good for a stop, especially if you're travelling through. Food is pretty good and prices aren't too bad. Restrooms and gift shop are decent too.

Delicious fried perch dinners! Perch was fresh and lightly breaded, hand cut fries were perfect, and coleslaw was creamy yet light & slightly sweet.
Good food, good service, atmosphere is a little outdated but still gives a home feeling
