They could be really good or terrible, it's a 50/50 shot.

Ordered a burger, the toppings were missing. Not a bit of juice in the burger, the bun was just a plain kaiser pulled from the bag, dry as if it were old or exposed to air. The poutine gravy tasted salty and instant. The cheese curds were great, good fries. Steak fingers were dry as a bone and gristly. Chicken fingers were dry. The waitress never asked if we wanted another drink, she never brought part of our order. We had to flag her down to ask for the burger toppings and dipping sauce for the chicken after she walked by at least three times. Will not return, and will continue searching for the best burger around.

Nice atmosphere. Our server was good. Had burgers and a "basket" of fries, which was really two very small sides of fries. Food was good, but was it worth $43? The only add-on to the meal was a cup of coffee. The exorbitant prices of burgers included chips. Gee, don't overdo it. Fries were $8. They made hand cut sound like they invented it. I am usually an over-tipper, but left under the usual minimum. Couldn't afford to leave any more after the food cost!I woukdn't go back. If you're going to spend over $40 for burgers & fries, may as well go somewhere else, toss in another $20 and get a steak with sides included.

The food is always amazing! But the server..very rude. There was only 2 or 3 other guests and she barley checked in with us. Every interaction felt super rushed and she never introduced her self. I got a dish that I really didn't like, I tried half and I let her know I really didn't like it. I asked if It was possible to be taken off the bill and she said "they don't do that" while laughing. When she gave us the bill and I said can you please split this. She crumpled up the receipt and didn't say anything to go split it. Just really ruined the experience. I'm not picky, but I am disappointed.

To start off, the service was quite slow. Then, the burger came out and I ordered it medium, it was rare. Many other people in my party who ordered burgers also had their burger undercooked. When I got the bill, it was $21.75 for a burger and fries. For a small restaurant with bar food in Cortland County, this burger was extremely overpriced. And it was subpar. I have been to many other restaurants in Cortland County that have much better burgers for half the price.

What a small business with a BIG taste. Sampled my wife food great. Pork burger excellent. Mac and cheese, like Mom used to make. Please support this business. Only in town couple times a year. Will be back.

Place was dirty. Staff was more interested in what was going on on their phones. We got to watch them hide behind the divider wall and tap tap tap away while was ran out of drinks and needed table service. Fries were good.

Let me start this with a qualifier...the three star rating for me is an average overall experience, and that's exactly what I had tonight at Hobo's. It's not that the food was bad, but it was nothing special nor was it anything that would compel me to venture back from Marcellus. But, if I were in the Homer area and hungry I would consider a repeat visit. The service was the highlight of the night. Our Server was friendly, polite and helpful. Never missing a refill opportunity and ensuring we were happy campers. The price points were a little high for the overall food experience. My son ordered chicken tenders with fries and a side of fried Mac-N-Cheese balls and I had a burger with fries. We both had a beverage (nonalcoholic for us both) and with tip we were just over $50.00. At that price point coupled with existing reviews I'd expect more. The chicken fingers/tenders/strips were the same Cisco offerings available at so many other restaurants. There was nothing that set these apart from anyone else's frozen ready to cook pull from the bag and throw in the fryer chicken strips - same old same old. The Mac-N-Cheese balls was the highlight of my sons meal. My burger was good, but not overwhelmingly so. I enjoyed it, but the entire time I ate it I was left wondering...what awards did they win for best burger and what was their competition. Sorry, but if you advertise that, you need to back it up. Over all...an average dining experience that hit my wallet more significantly that I anticipated for what it was..
