Often one of my favorite places. Slightly negative experience this morning. Ordered breakfast sandwiches, some had the wrong ingredients from what was ordered.
We also ordered several of the sausage egg and cheese. I know SH makes all their own meat, but I think there is a certain expectation for a SEC sandwich. The sausage in question was odd. It was far more akin to leberkäse or some sort of baloney. I'm not opposed to either of these meats, but was expecting a typical sausage with more tooth to it.
The website should go into more detail describing the nature of the meat, since this is house made and not what most would expect (at least for myself and the others who had the sandwiches) on a SEC.
This morning we craved what we remember as a delicious bacon, egg and cheese on a roll. Ordered 2 . What we ate was bread. Had to search for the rest. Nearly 13.00 to eat a roll. While we all understand our economy, this was inexcusable. You need to be ashamed

First time coming here , it was kaotic & stressful, I ordered a pastrami Reuben , the amount of grease , was disgusting. Needless to say , I was sick all day from eating half the sandwich , my bf had pastrami & mustard, he felt the same ! We will not be back !!! It's also a salt bomb !!

I called for some advice to feed a party of 70 co-workers and got expert help and a warning to reduce my portions, not increase them! The food was delivered on time with assistance and it all tasted great. The plan is to do this again next year. Thank you Kris and Gus for your expert service and delicious food. You made a lot of people happy.

Smoke haus is the best around for breakfast, lunch, catering, and processing needs. Everyone is so friendly and George does a lot of good things for the community.

I am a big fan of reuben sandwiches. I have sampled them across the country, and this still my go-to shop. This is one of the few remaining german delis in the area and highly recommend them.
