I'm working in the area and only have thirty minutes for lunch. This place is right up the road and has phenomenal Chinese food. I've ordered from here 3 or 4 times fornlunch and haven't been disappointed. The Gen. Tsos chicken is amazing and crispy and fresh and the rice is cooked perfectly. I will be back while i'm working in the area!

We have been ordering here for 15+ years. The best chinese food in the Lagrange/Beekman area. We've tried two other restaurant locations nearby and Empire is always our preferred choice. Our orders are always correct and done within 15-20 minutes. Everything is tasty and cooked to how we like it. They also mail out coupons in a coupon book which is a nice touch for locals.

Basic Chinese takeout experience with above average food. Not a vibey place for a sit down meal, but for a reasonable if not slightly-high price you’ll enjoy takeout that won’t disappoint… p.s. don’t sleep on the pad thai

Worst take out I’ve ever had. The fried rice was the only edible dish out of the 5 dishes we ordered and even that had undercooked (crunchy) rice. The broccoli beef tasted like it was cooked in canned gravy, the chicken with snow peas had zero flavor, the egg rolls were so chewy you could barely take a bite of it, and the same goes for the rest. Never again. It didn’t help that they weren’t very friendly but I can overlook that for some good food. This was NOT it.

This place is filthy and unsanitary. Not only did my wings have a long hair embedded in the breading, but the place itself is filthy. I am not sure if I had food poisoning or if it was the sight of hair, but I became nauseous after eating some bites of food. Their chairs are dirty, spider webs all over, and ants were crawling on the floor. They have some seating booths used as storage. I would hate to see their kitchen. I am not sure how this place is even open, but if the department of health were to pass by, this place would be shut down!
