Similar to Morrisons cafe. I was quite disappointed with the overall experience, instagram makes it look like a fancy restaurant but it was more like a supermarket cafe :: /
Exceptional service, excellent food and beautiful setting for lunch. The selection is varied and food is served fresh.
Not as good as it has been and very pricey. We have been going to Blue Sakura since it pretty much opened and used to enjoy the experience. The price has gone up and up and up over the years and it now does not represent good value. As an all you can eat, where they limit the number of dishes you can order, which isn’t an issue, it still is expensive at £44.95 a head+ drinks. The drinks are expensive too. On our visit on a Sunday early evening the service was also slow the bar was exceptionally slow having to wait over 20 minutes for a drink. I’m really not in any hurry to return I found the food mediocre and bland and one of our party was sick after the meal.
Overall Blue Sakura was quite dissapointing. It seems to consistently rank in the top 10 restaurants in leeds but the actual quality of the food was fairly middling. I went at lunchtime for the buffet (£30 each so actually quite a lot) and the food was a mix between pretty okay japanese food (nigiri, teriyaki etc) and relatively poor options that were likely supermarket freezer foods (spring rolls, chinese takeaway foods, chicken nuggets etc.) While the restaurant is beautiful and the staff are incredibly kind, the food is pretty dissapointing and definitely not as high quality as you'd hope from the price. If you're looking for Japanese food in Leeds I would highly recommend Tada in headingley instead, or Fern in the city centre - but overall Blue Sakura was okay, just a bit dissapointing
Below average buffet food served up in small plates. I was expecting more for the price. You're much better off going to a normal restaurant and ordering what you want. Really disappointed. Toilets need a deep clean too.
This place is amazing and I highly recommend the food here. The sushi rolls are delicious and since we came on a weekend there was more seafood on the menu so we got soft shell crab, tempura prawns and scallops and it was all fully worth it. The service here is so quick and our waiter Sang was really nice and helpful. I highly recommend the condensed milk deep fried buns for dessert as they are so so good!
I had a great experience here. Big portions. The staff was amazingly friendly! I will be back

Visited for a pre theatre early dinner on Saturday, service was quick & as this was our first visit everything was clearly explained including hot to order on the iPad. It was quite noisy so didn’t hear everything the waitress said but we heard enough to figure everything out. Not sure if someone with hearing problems would manage. Atmosphere was lovely & we had a nice table in a side alcove with just one other table which gave a nice degree of privacy. Food was fresh & came quickly with a good choice including very tasty sushi & some unusual options including octopus & soft shell crab. Definitely worth a visit.
Recent visit as a family of 4. We have visited before and the food was excellent as it had been before. Food was delivered very quickly after ordering even though the place was full. Only criticism is the staff are far too eager to clean up your table. I assume this is because of how busy they are but having your plates and mats taken away when some of the table haven't even finished doesn't really make for a relaxing meal. Likewise the bar staff asking to take glasses when they aren't empty was also a bit annoying. Given what you pay for this place and bearing in mind they choose to add on a service charge you should be left to eat and drink at your own leisure (within your time limit) and staff clear up once everyone is finished. That said this was only a minor irritation and based on the food we would go back.
It was fabulous! As usual you book ahead and stuff and yeah food was realllllyyyy nice. From point of entry to getting our reserved seats up until it was over and we were more than willing to call it a night- can only be described as FAB..U..LOUS. food was nice, staff were professional, my date was happy so was I. Keep it us BLUE SAKURA ! Hope to comeback soooooon!
This is just as good if not better than most Chinese food on Long Island
