Miss the old Taniinos. Caesar salad used to be the best. Fresh grated cheese and optional anchovies, now it's like a salad at Perkins. We ordered simple pasta dishes and waited 45 minutes past salads for dinner.

Food is delicious. Meg - our waitress - is superb. We alway ask to be seated in her section. If you like garlic, this is your place. Highly recommended. If Osso Buco is served (special), go for it.

Only issue we had was that our appetizer took quite a while to come, and our food long too. But oh was it worth the wait! The place was comfortably full when we got there and folks kept on arriving so the place is popular (even on a Tuesday!)

Tanino's is a nice restaurant at reasonable prices. I thought the food was good but not great. The service however was exceptional (Laura and Peter). I had the chicken sorrento (chicken cutlet topped with eggplant and mozzarella; served like chicken parm). The red sauce was good as was the chicken. I personally prefer very thin eggplant and this was on the thicker side. Also had a meatball on the side which was also good. Service was very attentive without being overbearing and both Laura and Peter were very personable. I'd definitely go back for good food and great service!

My husband and I were on a short road trip as a break from not going anywhere for 18 months. On our stop in Horseheads, NY, we found Tanino's Restaurant. I almost hesitate to write this review, because I'd like to be able to get a reservation again on another trip! My husband had the Veal Saltimbocca, which he proclaimed to be the best he's had in a VERY long time. I have a smaller appetite, so I had the Beef Carpaccio and an Antipasti for one as my meal. Both were phenomenal! Toward the end of our meal, the owner stopped by our table, and we had quite a nice chat. Wine list is extensive and the cocktails are wonderful. Definitely deserves our 5 red stars.

Still one of my absolute favorite dessert destinations. The slices of cake are as big as a loaf of bread! Delicious! Tried the carrot cake (hooray! No raisins!) And a multi layer chocolate cake - both were phenomenal! Don't miss this place!!!
While staying in Odessa we were looking for a nice restaurant for our last night. We stumbled upon this little gem and what a lovely little place! I had a pasta variety ( tour of Italy) and my husband had the salmon. Both were very delicious! Our server who was the bartender was super friendly and did a great job! We took home a large piece of amazing looking chocolate cake and can't wait to eat it over the next few days! PS it's huge!!

Soup was cold, took to long to reheat and was not hot when it came back. Server was good but way to busy. She had tables inside and outside. They were definitely understaffed in the dining room and the kitchen can't heat soup. My wife's lasagne was definitely reheated frozen food. My steak was OK. I don't think we'll be back.

I’ve been to Cafe Tanino on multiple occasions, actually almost every morning on my way to work. They’re able to whip up a mean cappuccino and some delicious treats as well in a short time period. The workers are all very friendly & extremely helpful! They are always finding new and exciting ways to make Italian treats even more delicious!
