First of all, they declined our payment, forcing us to take a detour through speedway, to make change. Other than that the service was nice. However, there was a hair in my fries. I was appalled, and upset with the quality of my food.

This is one of the better McDonalds in Elmira / Horseheads. The food is usually warm, the tables OK not to many undesirables in this location.
Also it has the $5 meal deal which we love.
I really cannot think of anything negative about this McDonald's.
The one in Southport does not offer this deal and the one in North Main is less than desirable in my opinion aka bad neighborhood and undesirables floating around.
Just our opinion having been to all a few plus times. 👍

Waiting 30 minutes for 2 drinks is kinda absurd. Not only that but no one acknowledged the people that were waiting at the counter! HORRIBLE!!!! The people there need different jobs where they can be as slow as they want. Fast food isn't for them apparently.

Too many computers, not enough employees. They need to stop overworking their staff. Too chaotic.
First, I got there at 16 after is when she actually print my receipt I didn’t leave the window till 33. You could see the picture. She says have a nice day. I asked where my food was and she just kept doing her thing like hello where’s my food? The guy just shrugged the shoulders. They both ignored me. I kept asking for it. Finally she comes back to the window she goes. I got my food she goes. Oh, what did you have?she ask for one plain cheeseburger, you seen how long I had to wait so then I get this cheeseburger. The guy handed it to me literally hand it to me no bag no napkins no I mean McDonald’s is known for not having napkins but no bag. Nothing just hand me the burger so yes, I took a picture of my hand still in my window where he handed it and then I close the window so I drive a little bit ahead they’re jampacked. I’m like never mind. I’ll just keep going so then I head home and I’m hungry. I opened it up and it’s burnt. How am I supposed to eat a burnt Burger? I have seen some bad McDonald’s, but this is the absolute worst. This was their second chance because I had gotten a Mcrib and it was hard as rock and the lady goes you should’ve bought it right back and I told her I was traveling. I was heading to Virginia. I didn’t open it. I was 10 minutes down the road and I asked for light sauce on it because I was traveling and it was full of sauce. This is absolute worse. I’m still in shock. Just hand me the receipt. Have a nice day now where’s my food and the guy just handmade sandwich and a burnt one on that I know it’s hard to find helpers but wow train depot you still need to train the ones you get you can see the cheese didn’t even melt because oh that was the other thing. The cheese wasn’t melted when I touched it. It was cold. What was I waiting for that whole time insane.

This McDonald's knows how to handle it's business. I always get my order, correctly, and served by a pleasant employee. I think I have waited no longer than 10 minutes for my order and that was on an extremely busy day. I've been to most of the McDonald's in the area and I have to say this one and the one in painted post really shine.
