Traveled into town the play a Volleyball game at Elmira. Called in my larger order the day before and was given excellent customer service. Order was ready for pickup when we needed it and the service was more than kind. Will be coming again the next time our team is in the area. Sandwiches & wraps were delicious.

Visiting from out of state, had a taste for a sandwich / sub on a fresh roll ... But got inside & the menu board had a special for a Halle Berry salad ... grilled peaches, grilled chicken, blueberries, feta cheese and avocado .... I know, I know, I should have taken a picture, but it's all gone now! Trust me, it was tasty & plentiful!
Staff was pleasant, helpful, and prompt.
Only suggestion would be if a patron requests utensils for a ToGo order, throw a couple napkins in the bag, too, please.
Wish I lived closer, I'd be there regularly! Glad to have found it!

Hands down THE BEST salads in the area. Enough for 2-3 and always served with the freshest ingredients and superb tasty marinated chicken, cheeses and croutons. Don't think about it - just get one!

I got the chicken spiedie and that's probably the best chicken spiedie I've ever had. And they're always so nice and welcoming in there!❤️ I feel like its not just the person takeing your order that greets you everyone greets you and says hello it definitely a good feeling when everone soo welcoming ❤️
First time visiting in about 3 years. No prices listed on the menu board. So not sure if we were paying the correct amount. 2 small subs and 2 waters $30. Not going again.

We have enjoyed all our meals here. We especially like the salads and like that you can customize them with many toppings. We love the salt potatoes try to get them every order. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful and it’s always been quick service.

I consider myself a sub conisuer. Having tr ied most of the sub shops in the Elmira NY area,I thought I would give On a Roll a try. It was fairly busy when I got there around 11am. Someone took my order right away. The man that made my sub was talking with someone about sports and wasn't focused on making my sub . I ordered a large Italian sub. He asked if I wanted mayo and what kind of cheese. I told him yes for the mayo and that I wanted American cheese. He acknowledged my response and then asked again , Because he was distracted by talking about sports with another patron. I repeated my preferences again. Then he asked if I wanted lettuce, tomato and onions,I said yes. The he asked if I wanted banana peppers or any other veggies. I said banana peppers and black olives. He asked if I wanted Italian dressing on it and I said yes. Well, I get home with it and find out it has pickles on it instead of black olives. I had to remove the pickles. All the Italian sub from on a roll has for meat is ham and pepperoni and not much of either. Also, they put chopped onions on their subs. A great sub should have thinly sliced onions. I'm disappointed in this sub . So, the search continues for a great Italian sub.

On a Roll is now my favorite sandwich shop in town. Great service, friendly staff and delicious food. Cody took my order with a smile and gave some great recommendations. He even gave me some history while he made my sub. Great prices and amazing quality.
