Hagane Hibachi & Japanese Grill

First thing I noticed was how small the place is...my shock quickly turned into joy because it was empty, which meant we had our own table. Love only being the only people at a table so I don't have to hear the nonsense of conversations. Food was delicious. As good as the hibachi place that closed down at atlas park, which was great. Highly recommend. Go early on Saturday and you'll most likely have a good chance of getting your own table.

Let’s get straight to it. This place definitely was not what we were expecting! My family and I have been to some top tier hibachi establishments. You walk in and it smells as if it has not been properly cleaned/sanitized in quite some time. The cooking surface was decent enough to cook on but surrounding area definitely needs to be properly sanitized. Food quality should be much better but instead it was not properly stored. In other words it tastes like fridge. Food was not enjoyable at all, in addition it really messed up up my stomach unfortunately we will not be returning customers.

Dietary restrictions: My husband has a gluten intolerance and can’t have the crunch that is added to some of the rolls, they had no problem accommodating us and making sure our order doesn’t have it.

Have been meaning to write this review for a while. My son’s birthday was back in march and my wife asked him what he wanted for his 10th birthday. He said he wanted to take some of his friends to Hibachi. My wife called Hagane to see if they could take a reservation. They said they don’t do that. Mind you my wife was calling them from the hospital which she had been admitted to. She spoke to the owner who relented and said that he would do it for her. She was happy and he was happy. Day of his birthday he was so excited. We walk around to the entrance of the restaurant with all of his friends and it was closed. Sign on the door said it was closed. I saw a gentleman on the side of the building. He said they were closed for maintenance that he was doing. I just don’t understand why they couldn’t take the time out to let my wife know what was going on. If Danny’s hadn’t been gracious enough to help us out. My son’s celebration with his friends would have pretty much been ruined. Will not go back there after that.

Service was just bad. They sat there watching movies on their phones while we had to ask multiple times to take our order. After taking our drink order they sat there and went back on their phones, they didn't bring the drinks until we asked them 10 min later why they didn't get them! Water shouldn't take 10 min to come to the table when we're the ONLY table in the restaurant.
The chef was nice but so quiet! Every hibachi experience I had before, chefs were funny and playful but this one was silent. It was so disappointing because I took my mom for that experience and it was a let down. So unprofessional!!
