I went to Mullen’s Pub yesterday for the first time and had a pretty poor experience. I’m from this area but now live out of state and am visiting with my boyfriend, and we took my brother out to lunch. I’m 26 and my boyfriend is 29, my brother is 21; we all ordered a hard cider and the waitress checked our IDs, as she should. She seemed to be looking at my boyfriend strangely but went back inside-a minute later, the owner of the pub came over to our table and said he wanted to check our IDs again. He checked our IDs and then started grilling my brother with questions. He said he’s “never seen an ID like this before,” to my brother’s NY drivers license. He started quizzing my brother on all these different families/people that are supposedly from the same town and asking if we know them. He didn’t believe my boyfriend and I that we live in another state and started asking about if my boyfriend has an older brother, etc. I’ve worked as a server in many bars/restaurants so I understand it’s important to do your due diligence to ensure you’re not serving underage kids. But you’re clearly not doing your job well if you have 3 people well over the age of 21 and you are asking invasive and personal questions just so they can get a beer. This was a ridiculous situation and I’ll definitely not be returning to Mullen’s Pub again, which is a shame since I come home to visit often. Instead I’ll go somewhere where I’ll be treated as an adult with some respect. What a joke.

If I could give this pub 10 stars I would. On a whim we stopped into Mullen's for some dinner because my partner loves a good pub (who doesn't?!). I'm a diabetic and it's always really hard to eat at a lot of pubs and I didn't have high hopes when we looked at the menu. I did find one sandwich I could eat if I could modify it. The waitress was super friendly and helpful and they allowed me to substitute the french fries and the brioche bun (which I can't eat since I have to carefully count my carbs) which was amazing. Most restaurants won't which means I only get to eat what's inside the sandwich and nothing else on my plate (and sometimes a girl is just really hungry!). But they didn't stop there. What really impressed me is that I missed there was honey mustard dressing on the sandwich (which probably would exceed by daily sugar allowance) and the chef had the forethought to put it on the side in case it would be a problem. It probably saved me an episode of high sugars since honey mustard is one of my trigger foods. It's a little thing but I felt like someone got the absolute heavy burden eating with t2 diabetes is since we can't just take insulin to counter carbs and sugar. So thank you to the staff of Mullen's for making me feel like a normal person eating out. I appreciate you!

I don’t normally write reviews unless I feel the needs to do so. $16.04 for this? I’m all for supporting local businesses but the business not supporting the locals is very obvious here. Needless to say it wasn’t that great.

My family needed a caterer for an event with very little notice, and Scott worked tirelessly to deliver excellent food and service for a very fair price. My family devoured the delicious wings, boneless wings, soup, lasagna, ziti, bread, and service. After the event, we went to Mullen's for more drinks and late-night snacks. Thank you, Scott and the Mullen's team, for all you did for my family! We will be back!

The food was okay, but the place could use a good cleaning. The window sill above our table was filled with dust and cobwebs. The table was sticky.

One of my friends and I ordered the Peaky Blinder Chicken Sandwich and I was never more disappointed with a sandwich in my life. The chicken was so over cooked it was like jerky and the onion rings were cold. I sent it back and did not eat. My friend that likes dry chicken could not finish hers either. We had a rotation of 3 servers that did not even stop unless asked for something. Another in our party had to go and ask for our checks so we could leave. I miss Maxwell’s.

Horrendous service! Waited over 15 minutes for a drink. We were going to order dinner, but after waiting that long for a drink we decided to leave. One bartender/server for the whole place, not a good business model. We took our money elsewhere.
