excellent customer service, good hometown style bar. looking forward to coming back.
Because I was censored on Google, I came here to write my experience. They hung a corona bottle by a noose behind the bar with “go tr*mp” written on it. I am Spanish and was the only one in the bar drinking coronas. Rae Morris, I believe was her name, was the owners daughter who was the most racist and unhinged. Great place if you’re a hateful person.
Absolutely Horrible Experience – Racist and Violent Atmosphere I rarely write reviews, but I feel it’s necessary to warn others about Scallys Roadside Bar and Grill. The service was beyond terrible, and the staff displayed shockingly rude behavior. What’s worse—and completely unacceptable—was the overt racism and hostile energy in the environment. My friends and I were treated like outsiders from the moment we arrived. Racist comments were made directly and indirectly throughout the night. One of my friends was called a “Mexican” in a derogatory tone, and the bartenders made several racially charged jokes and comments during our friends’ performances. Disturbingly, there was a noose hanging in the bar with a Corona bottle tied by the neck and a paper plate above it reading “Go Trump.” This is not just offensive—it’s threatening. It felt like a deliberate attempt to intimidate and incite hatred. There were even violent threats being made in a joking manner that made us all feel incredibly unsafe. This place is toxic and dangerous for anyone who isn’t white or doesn’t align with their hateful mindset. I strongly urge anyone who values safety, respect, and basic human decency to stay far away from this place.
My band was booked for a show here and I was put in charge of booking by another band that dropped out. They put a corona bottle in a noose during the show targeting my friend in a racist way. The teenage bartender threatened to cut the breakers on our band and called my friend a Mexican. A bar attendee pulled a knife on us because our amp made feedback and threatened to fight us outside.
I used to love playing here was the best tables around but as of the last couple years the place has became the worst the staff are rude to guests and to not have a credit card machine is ridiculous it’s 2024 I love the people there but it’s going down quicker than south street bars went down

Which side of the bar do you pray from? Spent a month setting up a show here just to get kicked out the minute before we started playing because of our appearance and religion, when if any amount of vetting/research was done by Scally’s they would have known INSTANTLY my band/band members are very up front about there religion. They also made a friend of mine feel bad for trying to order a non alcoholic beverage. If I could somehow give 0 stars I would. ANYWAYS if you check out my band Misery Machine MAYBE we can somehow make the money back that was spent on preparing/gas for this show.

We booked a show here a month in advance and just before we were about to go on, they told us to pack up and leave because they took issue with our appearance and religious beliefs. Don't do business
this place likes to throw their religious beliefs onto their customers. they are as closed-minded as you can get for a bar and eatery. completely disappointing on every level.
Restaurantji Recommends
I recently had a very disappointing experience with this venue. It seems like they don't take the time to properly vet the bands they book. This lack of due diligence leads to people wasting their time, money, and gas traveling to shows that end up not happening. It's incredibly frustrating to make the effort to attend a show, only to find out it was never properly scheduled or the band never showed up. This venue needs to step up their game and ensure that any advertised events are legitimate and confirmed. Until they do, I can't recommend wasting your resources on this place.
Books a show, kicks the headlining band out moments before playing because of “religious beliefs”. Do not support this business. Freedom of religion is a right, correct your wrongs and don’t waste a bands time having them PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS, waste their money and gas to drive for hours to just get treated like garbage.
The manger is rude they have a 18 year old working there when the drinking age is 21
