I ordered for online pickup, got there 10-15 after I placed the order. Everything was cold and stale. Like it was made early in the morning. Not even warm. Asked for yellow fried plantains instead of green and got a hard log of over ripe plantain. I think it was boiled earlier in the day and was fried for color. Instead of greeting me when I came the lady asked another worker why I didn’t announce myself when I arrived, not knowing I speak Creole. Never coming back.

This is a takeout restaurant, but you can sit inside if necessary. I ordered the Poisson Frit, Peas & Rice, Plantain and was very happy with the food & service. The food was ready in good time and well made. The Poisson Frites was crispy, well seasoned, and fresh - cooked perfect. The rice and plantain were delicious and not too oily. The service was pleasant and they give you a nice portion for the price. Would recommend and will be eating here again.

Best haitian food place for me in Suffolk County, long Island. Very nice & loving staff. Food is always good & fresh. Space nice & clean. This is a place that I highly recommend you to check out. While you're there definitely ask for some Akra & pikliz. Ou pap regrèt.
Edit: Do not take this place for granted. We moved from Long Island to New York city and I must say that Akra Deli is still amongst the top 3 best haitian food that I've had.

A variety of Haitian dishes. The food aroma brought us in. The nice attendant, Clotide, was helpful in describing the options. All the dishes were delicious. They made some while we waited. We tried the lambí, griyo, diri djon djon, diri ak pwa, Mac & cheese. We’ll be back. Best Haitian food in LI we’ve been to.
