A Truly Delightful Dining Experience!
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The owner was incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor — you can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. The red snapper fish was a standout, perfectly cooked and seasoned.
The ambiance was just right for a relaxed evening out, with pleasant background music. It's clear that this restaurant takes pride not only in its food but also in creating a memorable experience for its guests. We'll be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming setting!

The place is clean and the food is absolutely amazing, tastes like home cooked food. I have to wait 15-20 mins but it’s worth the wait because the food is made fresh. The ginger Citronade is on fire. I wish I lived closer, I would eat there everyday. Thank you Gingerbites, I love the authenticity of the food not like most places that do fusion.

I ordered fried chicken with rice and beans. When I went to pick up my meal, I also asked for a side of gratine. I received three pieces of chicken and a small bowl of mac and cheese for $30. (I've attached some pictures to show what I got.)

The best authentic Haitian food in NYC , period.
It visited 5 times before writing this review and the service is on point. The owner is knowledgeable and means business. I found them on Newsday , well deserved!

I moved from Long Island 3 years ago, Gingerbites Haitian Bistro was and is my favorite place. During Covid it was the only Haitian place I got my food, always fresh, tasty. When I moved to SC, I missed that place so bad, for my consolation Marie was willing to make some patties and shipped to me, they came well packed, and fresh. A couple days ago while I was looking into my freezer, surprisingly I found a ziplock bag with 4 patties from Gingerbites and the date May on the bag was May 2024 I always dated my frozen food, I thought to myself they cannot be good it's a year old, so I eat them up just to try. Oh boy! they WERE SO GOOD LIKE COMING STRAIGHT FROM THE OVEN. Thank you Gingerbites I missed your food and can wait to stop by when I come to NY. I wish you can shipping some Griot, Acra and Goat

Love it. Feels like home cooked food. Foood presentation is on point. And consistency in food taste. Love that place, I will encourage everyone to visit.

Well I'm sorry to say if you hungry calling first don't just stop by. The food is not best and unfortunately I won't buy or order any food there. Manje yo piti epi yo pran anpil tan and too much salt.

Went here about a week ago. Bought 2 plates of fried turkey rice & peas for $45 and they have the nerve and audacity to put 4 small pieces of turkey for each meal. Not to mention there was barely any meat on the turkey. The food is either hit or miss but overall MID. I’ll be going back to Majo Deli to get good Haitian food and portions that match the price.

It pains me to write this review mainly because I try to support good Haitian restaurants wherever I can find them; especially in Suffolk County Long Island. I’ve been going there on and off for three years and it’s been hit or miss, not because of the food, but something more egregious. Although pricey the food is good, but the customer service is terrible. You’re essentially at the mercy of the owner’s mood swings. Her demeanor is rarely welcoming and you get the impression that she’s doing you a favor for being her patron. My wife recently had an experience where she wasn’t allowed to wait for our takeout order in her empty dining room. After she rudely tried to justify what I could only describe as a weird loitering policy, my wife decided to leave and was shocked at their bizarre exchange. It’s likely that some of you have had great experiences there and will probably go back, but I’m sure it’s because you’ve never met the owner.

I placed a call wanting to place an order. Some lady picked up the phone said gingerbites 3x, i was unsure whether or not if she heard me so I said hello. For some reason she wanted to give me attitude when all I wanted to do is make sure she heard me. To the owner, please train employees on how to answer/conduct business professionally even if its a phone call. I'm of Haitian descent and wanted to support my own people, but this lack of professionalism is a turn off and will cause you to lose future business.
Just honest feedback

I ordered a turkey entree for a coworker, and he was absolutely over the moon about the taste. He said he loves the way the food was packaged as well and will bring his family to dine here in the future. I haven't tried their food yet but I will very soon!
