Food was good but I order the complete meal and when the bill came I was charged alacart, when I questioned it that said we gave you the beer in a bottle not a glass so it doesn't count as part of the special, wound up paying 10 dollars more then I should have, probably go elsewhere next time.
In response to the owners statement I know the menu said tap beer and when we order we told the waitress that we were having complete meals and when she brought the beers she said something about having a problem with the tap. You staff not doing the right thing has cost you a customer.

J&R's is fantastic, in a world where we've come to expect to pay an arm and a leg for a great steak, enter this wonderful Islip location, where reasonable priced and fantastic fare go hand in hand. the outstanding service is on top of their game and will help you feel right at home at this cozy casual restaurant. We we're able to try a good portion of the extensive menu, apps, soups, sandwiches, and entrees, to which we are happy to report everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The 76-Ounce Steak Challenge is definitely up for our next visit.

Not gonna lie the “America” theme is a little bizarre. Nothing more in your face than a bald eagle logo for a steakhouse that is nothing more than cafeteria food.
The service was pretty good and the steak wasn’t bad. Just a bizarre restaurant though

Casual low budget scene. Food was subpar for $30 filet. No flavor, no juices just bland. Especially being that I chose marinated. A burger would have been a better choice.

Great Atmosphere. Well priced. Ordered a skirt steak with mashed potatoes. Absolutely delicious. Plus the macaroni salad they give to warm you up is delicious as well. Friendly and plenty of Parking.
