I have eaten here before, I work nearby. The food has always been good and the view of the bay is beautiful. I took my daughters here for the first time as we were looking for a casual place with good seafood. After what happened with my daughter though, I was very disappointed. She ordered the grilled Mahi-mahi with vegetables for $25. She was given the wrong order of a fried fish sandwich with French fries. (She doesn’t eat fried food). They offered to bring vegetables but for an extra $5. The sandwich they brought was about $17-18 on the menu which they acknowledged they overcharged her, but did not offer to fix the mistake or offer a refund. As much as I enjoy the food and the vibe here, the customer service is lacking. My food was good, but did not enjoy it because the whole experience. I would hope that the wait staff gets better training in customer service.

the customer service sucked. if you go here really specify what your ordering I ordered the grilled mahi mahi platter and the cashier(really sweet young girl, but seemed very confused and spacey) rang me up for 25.00 but they gave me a key west sandwich instead which is only 17.00 when I told them they gave me the wrong thing and I can’t eat what they gave me they said they could give me the vegetables for an extra 5.00. After I was already over charged by 8. The girl told me the price difference was only a few dollars stating the sandwich is 22.00 and change. But I looked at one of the signs after everyone was done eating and a big sign that said key west sandwich with a picture of exactly what they gave me said 17 and change. I was with my mother and sister and didnt want to make more of a situation and ruin their vibe but I left hungry and super disappointed the staff did nothing to remedy the situation after I spoke to 3 different people about it I was excited to eat here and the experience was just super disappointing and the staff didn’t seem to care at all about the patrons after complaining they just said I made the wrong order even though I never asked for a sandwich I asked for a mahi mahi grilled plater :/ so yeah 25.00 down and still super hungry not sure what I paid for. I could’ve gotten a really good meal elsewhere. I hardly write reviews unless I really feel wronged. But figured people should know coming here that you might leave without eating your food because the cashier couldn’t get the order right and no one else is willing to do right by a customer that got the wrong order

Great place off the main strip of South Shore. Nice mix of straight barbecue and seafood outside overlooking the bay. Totally awesome with sun going down and Country music performed by Tom Country! Food and service was even better than expected. Definitely a warm weather gem to enjoy!

A hidden gem! Went for breakfast, the food was good. Met the owner Sal, what a nice guy and a very friendly staff. We are going back for dinner and live music.

Ah…summer is [almost] here!! Day one opening of Key West, at Islip Beach. Reggae music cranking, band playing today at 4pm. It’s the best alternative to Robert Moses, and they are open every day with Entertainment!! No wind, small comfy beach, and even when you’re in the water you’re never more than 50 feet from great food, beverages, bathrooms, outdoor showers and fun people!! Also, home to the 20 ounce, quart container, alcoholic beverages – all you need is one! 😂
The owner is Sal, a good man!! Good to see him again…look forward to coming by throughout the summer of 2025!
