Also enjoyed visiting before, during and after wake services at Overton's parlor with immediate family and relatives and not worrying for their safety.Was shocked to see it shuttered recently. Somehow I always thought it'd be there forever, just sharing thx!!!

I have to laugh at the 2 glowing reviews that rated 3 stars. One said: "I love this place" 3/5 stars. LOL. Anyway: I also love this place. The service is pleasant and attentive and the atmostphere is just right for me: great rock and roll music, surprisingly good acoustics, dart boards, carpet on the wall, a case where dart accessories are sold, the menu on a board on the wall, I even see charm in the floorboards worn from where darters step to the line. The few times I've ordered food here I had the burger and I'm hard pressed to remember a better one. I'm told the other items are also very good and have heard that the kitchen is immaculate. The next time I visit the Viking I'm bringing hungry friends to introduce them to a cozy sleeper that rocks.
