Awesome food! Everything on their menu is worth the calories. You can’t go wrong with their smoked meats and delicious sides. Owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. Great vibe to grab some bbq alone or with your friends. Plus they are located in Personal Best Brewery.

We first had pulled pork sandwiches at Apple Fest a few years ago and were thrilled to hear when Fittnell teamed up with Personal Best.
Service is always fast, and the folks behind the counter are lovely! One of our favorite regular spots in Ithaca.

Amazing BBQ!!! In the best way, this has ruined all other BBQ for me. I have yet to find anything that compares to the brisket, pulled pork and Mac and cheese. They go above and beyond to make sure the food is always perfect and done the way BBQ should be. **In regards to a recent incident/review** It’s a shame that some customers in this small city of ours don’t appreciate integrity and authenticity and lash out when they act entitled and are then called out on it. As a small business owner myself (Sweet Melissa’s Ice Cream) I back any other business that is willing to set boundaries and say no to customers when we stop being treated like we are people as well.
I have never had anything short of amazing food from Fitnell. I go out of my way to bring friends when they are in town because no matter what they order they will be happy.

Fittnell is fantastic. We’ve eaten pretty much everything they have to offer and even some things that they were experimenting with while at Personal Best.
We enjoyed it so much that we hired them to cater our wedding this past weekend, with food service for roughly 100 attendees and Fittnell knocked it out of the park.
Despite the rare negative reviews (especially this most recent one with all the entitled, no common sense folk) do not let that steer you away from this fantastic business, their mushrooms and mac and cheese are to die for.
Thank you again for your services, hospitality and flexibility. If we need catering in the future, for our small farm venue it will definitely be coming your way.
Do not know where the communication gap occurred. However it is never good businesses practice to yell at potential customers waiting in line to order. It is also not good businesses practice to deny service to people just because they are in a group.
If as a businesses the desire is to only sell to select customers and nit to walk ins who may or may not be part of a group then instead of yelling at people inside a business that they are going to be denied service because they aren't your regular weekly clients, the better policy is to make sure that communication with the owners of the shared space who welcome large groups needs to be improved. Additionally consider adding a pre-order element to the businesses if you are concerned about food expenses, prep & cook times, along with minimal kitchen waste.
I was looking forward to trying the coleslaw & cornbread. My partner was looking forward to the BBQ choices offered. Instead we went hungry while other people sat down near us with plates of bbq.
Extremely poor businesses practice. Please take the opportunity to learn and grow.
