I would venture to say this is the best coffee in Ithaca! I had a decaf cortado, and it was executed perfectly. Not only is the staff friendly and knowledgeable, but they also know how to pull their shots and steam milk just right. If you're used to third wave coffee, this is the place for you!

The coffee shop is located inside the store, but don't let that deceive you - it was one of the best coffee's I had on the east cost.

THE BEST COFFEE IN THE AREA.
Forty Weight is the only cafe I've seen that pulls shots to the exact gram - with the freshest beans. Their baristas are well experienced in flavor, pouring and quality service. I remember the first time I had their coffee in November which was the best cappuccino I've ever had (this is after living in Italy), and to this day I have not been disappointed. Not forgetting to mention Gola Osteria and State Bakery, the blueberry scones are SOOOOO good, not too sweet, and baked fresh daily!
The Baristas here have been friendly and informative on tasting notes as well as the growing and roasting processes of the beans, when I need more help choosing a bag. There is nothing bad I can say about this business.

Tip top beans and brews
Amazing coffee shop, probably the best in Ithaca. The coffee is delicious and the customer service is excellent. Other coffee shops in the area should learn from them. The baristas are always pleasant and make you feel welcome! Love coming back here and having great coffee and service.

Best coffee shop in Ithaca, not even close. They served up an 8.2 cortado that blew all of the shops (like Gimme! or Press) out of the water. The milk work is what made it an 8.2 as the beans were on the 7.8 side. Overall, really good and holds up with some of the best I’ve had in New York.

This coffee shop is a great addition to Green Star. The hot chocolate is awesome, I wanted another one by the time I was done shopping! Like other reviewers mentioned, the owner is personable and professional. Highly recommend giving it a try, and it's worth a special trip even if you don't shop at GS.

Not only are the espresso and brewed coffee delicious, and the beans roasted with care and integrity, but the guys who run this place are so kind and wonderful.I had been given a gift certificate over email, which I used half of and then lost. But when I reached out They were accommodating and understanding, and were able to look up the lost gift card in their system, and they honored it anyway! So many places would instead be like, “your loss too bad.”Their Ethiopia roast is a favorite, and they even have decaf beans that taste as good as regular (Swiss water process).Thank you for existing!!! Forty weight makes the world a better place!!
