The atmosphere is nice. The guy (with blue fingernails , beard and glasses) that took my order wasn't overly friendly. Three coffees took waaay too long to make and there were only two people ahead of me in line. My cafe mocha tasted more like hot chocolate. Prices weren't outrageous or anything. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I ordered a sesame bagel with cheese and a hot chocolate. I should have ordered open face since there was only 1 small piece of cheese for the entire bagel. That's on me... it was fine for a quick breakfast and the hot chocolate was good.

Dietary restrictions: Since I can't eat eggs and didn't want pastry for breakfast, I was limited to one item, a bagel.

Breakfast sandwiches were delicious and under priced. Service was great. The accommodated 3 GF orders we had perfectly and the cafe had a nice atmosphere. One of my favorite finds in Ithaca. Good on the staff and owners. Wonderful small business.

Kid-friendliness: Seemed totally fine for kids.

The 1 star is for the staff who made some really weird comment. The food and coffee were decent.

The best coffee and breakfast shop. Coffee is amazing, food is amazing (breakfast burrito is top 3 all time for me). A real hidden gem in Ithaca. Go and go often.

Ps - haven't tried donuts but they looked great and will definitely be back to try them out.

This place is so cute! I had a dirty chai and basic b bagel Sammy. Everything was up to par for breakfast and the staff were really cool, check it out if you're in the area! Also very cute area to walk around and super close to all the planets for the planet walk.

I used to go to Hound and Mare often. The Pacific bagel sandwich is my favorite. They also have gluten free options.

Food and drinks are great. Atmosphere is crowded and a little restless, but have nothing to complain about though. Definitely recommend to any visitors, tourists, or anyone else in the area!

On my way to Porchfest I realized I had never stopped by this lovely little shop. I asked my friend to meet me there and I ordered the Pacific (I believe. The breakfast sandwich with whipped feta and roasted Kale, anyway.)

First, to my own delight but my guest's displeasure, the egg on the sandwich was served a perfect over easy. This is listed on the menu, and can be changed upon request. The bagel was perfectly toasted; a soft and pillowy exterior giving way to a robust crunch able to stand up to the breakfast sandwich toppings.

Feeling decadent and in need of caffeine, I also partook of a vanilla lattè. The espresso was some Forty Weight blend, and worked well with the oat milk and vanilla. Nothing particularly special there, but certainly a good accompaniment to my brunch.

The only complaint I had was that we sat directly under the air vent, which did output a significant volume of cold air. This did, however, enhance the experience of a hot drink for me. All in all, wholeheartedly recommend - but make sure you let them know if you prefer your brekkie sando with a firmer yolk!

“For a brunch cafe like this, it wouldn’t be enough to give it a perfect score of 100.”
“The best brunch in Ithaca, simple and delicious”

It is a true brunch place that is only open briefly in the morning.
The outside looks very shabby, but the inside is simple and minimalistic, and the menu is simple and clear.

Donuts, bagel sandwiches, and various coffee drinks.
This is a place where you can have a filling breakfast with a simple bagel and coffee.

Considering that the names of the menus are the names of streets and regions in West LA, it seems like the owner is from the West haha.
I ordered Pacific, a menu item highly recommended by @yhynn, a New York expert. The chewy bagel and fried kale were amazing.
Feta with fried eggs, tomatoes, and honey gives a very new, yet familiar and comfortable taste.
It's a really delicious combination.

There are also simple baked goods and donuts, so it's great for those who want a simpler breakfast.
The texture and taste of the glazed donuts were top class among the donuts I had eaten in the United States, so there was no failure.

It was the best breakfast in Ithaca that I enjoyed so much.

PS: The hot sauce here is Sriracha Tabascone. I saw it for the first time haha

PS2: Pacific contains overeasy eggs, but I didn't want the yolk to get on my hands, so I ordered hard-boiled. please refer to this.

Delightful breakfast/dessert/coffee spot in Ithaca, New York. We had read that they have some of the best breakfast sandwiches in the town.... and they did not disappoint! Ordered a couple of breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burrito (possibly large enough to feed 2 adults) and a couple of coffee options. The bagels for the sandwiches were smaller than we are used to in New York, but they were fresh and delicious. The food menu was not extensive, but all looked like good choices. The drink menu was pretty extensive. Service was friendly and quick. It looks like they are open Wednesday through Sunday. We were there on a Sunday morning and they were busy. There were a few tables on the sidewalk and then a decent number of tables inside. I did not order the avocado toast, but it looked amazing...

Parking: I believe parking is free in the nearby garage on weekends
