Should probably change your rules surrounding canadian drivers license. We came to watch the baseball. We sat, decided on what we wanted to order and then were told we needed our passports and they couldn’t accept the license as ID(the passports were in our hotel safe outside of town because why would we carry them?) anyways we went to watch the baseball game elsewhere and went drinking in a few other bars nearby. Our licences were no problem there. The server was nice about it but seemed like an odd rule considering Ithica is so close to the border and the fact we are from the closest province to you. We are both in our thirties by the way and have never had this problem here.

We came off a long drive and this place was across the street from our hotel. Ate at the bar. Beer selection was great. I had a salad and hubbs had pizza. Both entres were delicious and reasonably priced. The place was hopping, and even with the crowd, the bartender gave us friendly and efficient service. We would definitely go back. Sorry - no pics.

We decided to check out the Ithaca ale house because of a TikTok that I saw regarding the skillet wings. The flavor of the skillet wings were so good however, I wish there was a little more topping on them for paying two dollars extra to make them skillet and the beer, cheese was really good, but the pretzel was average. It wasn’t really busy inside, so our waitress gave us a lot of attention and she was very sweet. I can’t remember her name, but she did a great job. The host seemed a bit flustered, but it could just have been an off day for him. I would definitely go back and get the wings again if I would visit Ithaca. The atmosphere was just your basic bar, but they did have a lot of seating.

WE WERE THERE TODAY SEPT. 20TH TO HAVE A MEAL . ONE OF YOUR HOSTESS IS VERY RUDE!!!! WE WERE WAITING OUTSIDE AROUND 3:45-4:00 WAITING FOR MY HUSBAND WHO WENT INSIDE TO GET A TABLE OUTSIDE BECAUSE WE HAVE OUR PET WITH US. THIS RUDE WOMAN CAME OUT AND STARTED YELLING AT US SAYING THAT WE SHOULD NOT SIT OURSELVES. I GET THAT BUT THAT WAS SO EMBARRASSING THAT WE WERE TREATED THAT WAY!!NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL! SHE NEEDS TO LEARN HER MANNERS!!!! YOU DONT TREAT ANYONE THAT WAY. I HOPE YOU HAVE A CAMERA OUTSIDE SO YOU CAN SEE HOW ONE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES TREAT CUSTOMERS😡😡😡

High ceilings make it a little loud when crowded but the outsides dining area was nice.

Just my luck. Average guest load, asked the hostess for a two top, she takes us to the table that nobody wants. Cramped and not comfortable. What about all the other open tables??? Oh those are reserved! I went to Simeon’s and had the best dinner!!! Go to Simeon’s you won’t regret it!

Perfect evening! Perfect food! Perfect waiter! Anthony is a great waiter. There were four of us and he was very efficient and pleasant. The calamari at the Ale House is truly the best ever! The atmosphere here is really calming and upbeat. We had a wonderful night.
We used to love Ithaca Ale House but now it is WAY too fancy. Its an Ale House, not super fine dining. All of their food items have something weird, like bacon jam or caramelized apples on a burger. They are trying too hard. We got sodas and then decided to leave after seeing the menu. The waitress seemed to get aggravated that we just wanted to pay for our sodas and leave. She didn't say anything to us and just gave us the bill. It was $10 plus tax for two sodas. We left a tip anyways. Will not go again.

Big pile of dirty dishes outside sitting next to our table. Seemed like really poor management with priorities that were not focused on the customers at hand. Plan not to visit again.
