Bread sticks are as good as they were 30 years ago when this was our best date night spot
Awesome staff and the food was excellent!! Home made food Yum
We catered our rehearsal dinner here. Food was great. The staff was very responsive to my questions. We had a number of food allergies we needed to accommodate as well. We had a great rehearsal dinner, and would recommend this company to anyone looking to plan an event with a larger sized party!
Nice meal! Easy parking. Attentive staff. Range of menu options including gluten free pasta. An all around winner.
Solid basic Italian food.
Food was excellent with hearty portions. Janice watied on us and was phenomenal. We will definitely eat here when we visit again.
Family get together last night. Struggled hearing each other because it was so noisy. Food was good but they're missing some obvious stuff. No coasters or tablecloths so we spent the evening trying to catch the water running across the table from our sweating water glasses. Annoying TVs with head smashing MMA on it. Not something I ever want to watch, but especially not when I'm eating. Burn the stupid TVs!!
We ordered an Italian sampler (everything was fried but good— what you would expect), a pizza (undercooked with raw dough), and chicken marsala (bland chicken breast, plain pasta) and spent $65. I honestly don't know how they stay in business. Would not recommend.
Definitively anything genuine Italian, rather a sort of american reinterpretation with some decent courses, and many shadows.
Joe's has been around for a while now and has gone through various revisions, some good, some not so much. Right now they're in a good phase, not as wide a menu as they've had in the past, but what they do offer is solid and good. Meatballs and spaghetti, classic Italian fare are well prepared and tasty. Janice, one of the wait staff is back and she makes iced tea good enough to bottle as we approach the warmer months. A good test for authentic Italian is how well do they serve the calamari? Joe's passes with flying colors. For dessert, you can do like Pete Clemenza from "The Godfather," leave your gun, and order cannoli.

We have never been impressed by Joe's, but it had been a few years, so we tried it again. Not much change. Service was good, but food is still so so and the prices too high for the quality. They have a great menu, but the execution is subpar. Nothing is great and most everything needs more or better seasoning. The biggest turn off of the dinner was the smell from a strong continuous waft of the ladies room air freshener. Lastly, we brought home cannoli. At first it appeared that the cream was overflowing, but after the first bite we noticed the inside was empty. They had squeezed it on each end and had none inside. So disappointed.
This is a traditional restaurant in Ithaca, NY. Italian food is served 7 d a week. I was here few years ago. So I will check whether food taste is still the same, I hope so. I ordered Tuscan zuppe and chicken Marsala ... both were delicious.
Before reading further, don't hesitate to order the mozzarella sticks. They are AMAZING.
I just had lunch with my best friend at Joe's. It was my first time and I loved it. It's always her favorite go to restaurant. It wasn't too busy when we walked in but we were greeted immediately by a very friendly server. We were seated into a large booth in the bar. She explained the half price appetizers which was a nice surprise. We loved the fresh cut calamari and beer-battered mozzarella sticks. I enjoyed the chicken parm sandwich and my friend loved the vegetarian thin crust pizza. You can really tell how fresh all the ingredients are. I will definitely be back.
We frequent Joe's regularly and I always find the service and food incredible. Joe's has the best pizza and bottomless salad in Ithaca. I just wanted to clarify the review program for future customers because I have seen reviews referencing it negatively. Joe's did offer a 10% discount program during the month of September. It was to create an in-house competition between all employees. In order to get a discount you had to give a review and mention your favorite employee. Never once was I told what rating I was to give. As a frequent customer it was a nice opportunity to thank some of my favorite staff.
