My friend and I went here for lunch and it was wonderful. The young Mandy behind the counter was very pleasant and helpful. The food was great! I highly recommended the potato and cheddar hand pie, while my friend recommends the beef curry hand pie. The food was very fresh and you could taste the quality!

Delicious handmade pies. Honest to goodness down to earth good home-cooked pies.

Just tried Mama Said Hand Pies for the first time… I started with a maple cold brew. It was made like the employee really cared that I enjoyed it - carefully combined and stirred and not overpacked with ice like other places do so that you only get a few sips of coffee before it’s a cup of ice left. And the cold brew itself was very smooth. Then I got the spinach egg and cheese hand pie. I initially thought they looked kind of small but they’re super filling so I was pretty full after one. The flavor was so good and the crust was fresh and buttery and crispy. I also got the sausage gravy and egg hand pie which was heavenly. And even though I was completely stuffed after two, I did try the cherry hand pie and loved the almond glaze on top of it. Can’t wait to go back to try the other flavors!

The restaurant sells high quality, hand-crafted hand pies, always offering old favorites while introducing new flavors. If you have dietary restrictions, you will be more than satisfied too; this place goes above and beyond in incorporating vegetarian, gluten-free, and other options.

The ambiance is cosy and tranquil, almost like I'm visiting an old friend's house. There is usually plenty of seating, and the games/activities on hand is a thoughtful added touch.

This place is so unique–and tasty!–that I now have made it my go-to restaurant for taking my out-of-town visitors. Will keep coming back again and again.

Amazing gluten free handheld pies! The West African beef pie with spicy sosu kaani sauce is so so so good. I can't get enough of that sauce. I also tried the chorizo pie. The salsa verde has an excellent flavor. They offer a rotating selection of fillings so I look forward to trying more savory pies. As for the sweet ones, blueberry is so good but cherry is always my favorite. These pies are so easy to eat, you may find yourself overstuffed (but happy)!

These pies are amazing!!!

Came across this cafe while out driving and highly recommend it! The staff are so friendly. Everything is handmade and they use local products. The seating area is very relaxing and family friendly! Water is available to help yourself to. The pies come in a variety of flavors with gluten free and vegan options available. We enjoyed the apple dessert pie so much - we ordered more! The herbal iced tea was refreshing and delicious! We are so glad we stopped at Mama Said Hand Pies Cafe!

Such a great gem. Stopped here on our way back from Taughannock Falls. The hand pies are so good (we tried cherry and guava). The atmosphere is so chill. The space is so well thought out with a small children’s area next to comfy seating (like being in your own living room), complimentary water, a stack of games. The employees are so friendly. Would definitely recommend this place, especially for families with children and for those needing a space to get some work done.
