I have been there twice. Great food and great ambiance. Staff is great, super friendly and helpful. I've dined in and have done takeout.

These pies are amazing!!!

Came across this cafe while out driving and highly recommend it! The staff are so friendly. Everything is handmade and they use local products. The seating area is very relaxing and family friendly! Water is available to help yourself to. The pies come in a variety of flavors with gluten free and vegan options available. We enjoyed the apple dessert pie so much - we ordered more! The herbal iced tea was refreshing and delicious! We are so glad we stopped at Mama Said Hand Pies Cafe!

Such a great gem. Stopped here on our way back from Taughannock Falls. The hand pies are so good (we tried cherry and guava). The atmosphere is so chill. The space is so well thought out with a small children’s area next to comfy seating (like being in your own living room), complimentary water, a stack of games. The employees are so friendly. Would definitely recommend this place, especially for families with children and for those needing a space to get some work done.

This was my first time visiting the cafe location, and it was so lovely! I always get their vegan hand pies at the farmers market and so I knew I had to check out the cafe. Absolutely delicious vegan and vegetarian hand pies, empanadas, and more, plus really good coffee. A great spot for vegan options, and the owners are lovely.

I once came here in 2023 after driving from Akron, Ohio to Trumansburg to visit my good friend and he introduced me to this little gem of a place, nestled where no one would expect it in the heart of rural Tompkins County. The pastries were fantastic and the staff were amazing! Everything tasted wonderful, as if your grandmother would make it and the smell as you walk in is heavenly. If and when I come back to Trumansburg, I would love to make another visit again! This place was worth the 240 mile drive in a 20-year old Kia plus a short stint in a two-stroke communist car made of cotton.

What a gem. If I lived here I'd be in once a week for sure. Between the five of us we sampled most of the case of the hand pies and the drinks were great. This place is something special.

Open airy and spacious interior that is spotless. Friendly staff and GORGEOUS menu items that are almost too pretty to eat, but are too delicious to resist! 10/10 will be going again!!
Also gluten free options that are just as pleasing to the eye!
