I'm from 10 minutes outside of Utica NY and I drive for Uber and Lyft so I'm always in Ithaca and Maru Ramen is the place to go, food is absolutely delicious and affordable. I called half an hour before they close and asked for a ramen, pork bun, and fried gyoza. And she said, let me ask the chef. And told me they didn't feel like making the ramen or the bao buns, and said "maybe next time." There will not be a next time now. The ramen was the only reason I ordered from them.

Really enjoyed the Tonkotsu ramen. Generous portions of protein and meal, and delicious. Felt pretty authentic. The hangover ramen was good too, felt tad bit too much food color than spicy, but had good flavors. So far—best Ramen in Ithaca Ive had, so props for that. The wall decor was lovely too. Overall, enjoyed the food and experience, will come again.

Pretty disappointing ramen. Was hoping based off of the ratings it would be good, but the flavor of both the tonkotsu and miso ramen were bland and one-dimensional.Saving grace is big portions for not that expensive.

Bulgogi Pho was delicious, great portions and huge depth of flavor. Small place with lightning fast service. Only knock would be the almost fast food atmosphere, but the food more than offset this.
Pretty good ramen joint. I wish there were a few more non-pork options. The service is good and fast. Soup could have a bit more depth of flavor to broth.

The miso was soooo good! My son and I are big Naruto fans so he’s been dying to try real ramen. This place did not disappoint us! The pork and kimchi buns are delicious. This is going to be added to our favorite places to eat!
REALLY wish they would up their game on the vegetarian/vegan side. I have eaten AMAZING vegan ramen at places that put the same care and time into their veggie offerings as the meat ones. At Maru, I think vegetarian ramen is an afterthought, and it's pretty meh. I would love to be as excited to go to Maru as all my meat eating friends are, but it's just not all that.

We had edamame and vegetable dumplings as an appetizer, followed by their ramen bowls.The portions are quite large, fresh, prepared to your liking, and delicious! We spent some time visiting Tokyo, and we felt their ramen was spot on. We will be back.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and gluten free options.
