Cold corn bread with butter. Makes no sense.. cold corn bread to melt butter that came with it?! Were told it's complimentary, so don't have time to heat it. Jambalaya had pasta sauce in top of rice with shrimp and sausage! Very disappointed!
Visited Ithaca from Rochester to catch the Wallflowers concert. We had dinner at Maxie's before the show. The food was excellent! The fried green tomatoes were a hit. The fried chicken meal with mashed potatoes and collard greens was out of this world. We also ordered a trout dish which was a daily special that came with a cheddar filled potato cake and it was so good! Definitely worth a visit.
Excellent fish restaurant, offers a wide range of options, really generous portions, we couldn't finish them. Excellent Blackened Catfish, informal place, quick and friendly service.
